Sundae gave us another filly on Tuesday May 21,2024. Both are doing fine, and the filly is already being spoiled. This may be our last baby for a while until we find another sire.
Razzel (sire) went to greener pastures in Somerville AL the first of May. He will be servicing 6 mares and we look forward to seeing his success next spring.

Last week was a bittersweet week for The Pony Patch. On Wednesday I lost one of my foundation ponies, Pineapple at age 35. I purchased Pineapple from Thomas L Scroggs in 1989 at 18 months old. He sired two fillies, one by Popcycle was born into The Pony Patch, Buttermilk. Buttermilk passed last year at 31 years old but gave me 14 babies in which 8 I still have. Pineapple gave 1,000s of rides to many children over a couple of generations and taught many to ride. It was a joy to own such a great willing pony for 33 years. He was definitely my favorite; he was my pocket pony (he would follow me around with his nose at my hip pocket). If anyone has any pictures of Pineapple, please share.
As I lost Pineapple Wednesday afternoon, Sarah Leigh gave birth to a filly Wednesday night around 11:00 and then Sundae had a filly on Friday morning. I still love raising those babies and who knows maybe one day I'll raise another Pineapple. 🙂

First baby this year. This filly is out of Razzel and Sarah Lee. Very surprised that she is a solid sorrel with 3 stockings. I was expecting a sorrel paint with these parents.
Those are two half sisters on each side of Sarah Lee out of the same sire/dad.
