Our appreciation goes out to TV Deli and Diner, Barry Vanengelen, our sponsors, and everyone who joined us for our annual charity dinner; your contributions are truly cherished.
We’re looking for a plumber to service our 4 outdoor water hydrants. Suggestions of local plumbers appreciated!
A session in the soil, doing some really tedious weeding to free our carrots 🥕 from the competition.
When life seems out of control, it's nice have a place like this to meditate in.
We were so pleased to welcome Brian Sevald to the farm today! We all marveled at the images he captured with his drone! Our refurbished hoop house looks even better from above.
Brian also toured the hoop houses interviewing the project's founder, Bob Johnson, and executive director, Danielle West. As he worked, it was clear that Brian was capturing more than images and words. He was capturing the passion we all feel for this project.
We are so looking forward to seeing how all the footage comes together!! Thank you!
It is hard to express just how very happy we are to welcome our friends from the Lincoln Center back to the farm! They were excited to see how the crops have changed over the summer. They were AMAZED by the bean plants and excitedly tried the ground cherries. That is a HUGE change from when they first started coming!
After a quick tour, everyone got busy!! One group harvested ground cherries, while another group sorted plastic containers for recycling. Others moved pallets in preparation for building a new compost heap, while a fourth group pulled out kale plants and stripped leaves for donation to area food pantries.
We are looking forward to continuing our partnership throughout the school year.
