It was awesome that the Detroit Police Department came and handled some cool animals with us! 🥰

Little Holly update and info on the Snakes 🐍 and Doughnuts 🍩 event next Thursday Dec. 28th at our sister company GP Zoology! 💕

On November 14th a 4 year old female Sulcata Tortoise was found clinging onto life during a cold evening in Grant Park on Michigan Ave. near the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois. At the time the temperature was only 27 degrees fahrenheit. When she was found and rescued the rescuers weren’t aware how long she had been outside. We were made aware of the situation VIA a Group on FaceBook dedicated to rescuing tortoises. We got in contact with the original poster inquiring about her story and how we could help. After some messaging back and forth with the people housing her we were given the opportunity to come meet and possibly adopt her. We made the trip to Chicago on December 5th and after a short time interacting with her, we knew she would fit right in at Lou’s. We would like to welcome our newest family member Holly!
