We are excited to announce our community “Franky Spirit Rock” project! We will also be accepting a Legislative Tribute to acknowledge Franky the tortoise’s life lived here at Lou’s pet shop on Friday, January 31st! As many of you know we lost Franky a little over a year ago to natural causes. Franky brought so much joy and excitement to families throughout the community during his almost 20 years with us!

We are grateful to mayor Bryant of Grosse Pointe Woods for collaborating and approving the “Franky Spirit Rock” placed in the front of our building, which will be completed this spring!

Drop in on this special day as we celebrate and remember the life of “Franky the Tortoise”! Check out the start of the spirit rock project, enjoy a make & take craft, coloring pages and refreshments for the little ones all day!

Special thank you to Mayor Bryant and his team & The Hertel Family for putting together this Legislative Tribute!

The year of the snake is a time for transformation, renewal & introspection. The snakes ability to shed its skin symbolizes a complete transformation and letting go of what is in the past.

SNAKES & DONUTS

December 28th 11am - 2pm
Join us for our annual Snakes and Donuts event! Enjoy a relaxing environment surrounded by 20 + snakes on display including the famous 10 foot albino Burmese python Mr. Lemon! This event is geared for adults, teens and kids of all ages! Oh yeah and of course we will have some amazingly delicious Donuts (one per customer)! Tickets sold at the door and are $6 per person ( Children under 2yrs are free)

*To keep things clean we will enjoy donuts before interacting with any snakes*

🐸 SLIME DAY Tomorrow!!!!

Friday, December 27th- 11am

Slime is a way of life to some in the animal kingdom! This hour long animal science program we will discover how & why some cool animals use slime to survive and thrive! Did you know dart frog fathers use the slimy mucus on their backs to carry their kids to safety? Also we will be making homemade slime of course!

*all ages are welcome*

(only children need a ticket)
