We could not be more excited to welcome Dr. Eliza Turnage to the Harvey Family!

Eliza Turnage DVM
Dr. Turnage was born and raised in the metro Detroit area. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology with a concentration in Animal Behavior and Neurobiology and a minor in Environmental Studies and Sustainability. She received her DVM at Kansas State University and signed up for all the non-traditional species courses and extracurriculars to receive their Exotic Animal/ Zoological Medicine Veterinary Certificate. She has special interests in exotic animals, behavioral medicine, and dental health and is passionate about helping improve the everyday welfare of all types of pets. At home, she has a ball python, blue tongued skink, and one brown tabby cat, Cassimir, who loves to snuggle, steal food, and go on leashed adventures in the backyard with her and her husband, Timur. Outside of work, she enjoys singing in choir or at karaoke nights, going on trips to the Detroit Zoo, playing board games with friends and family, and cooking new foods!

Last week Katelin met with the amazing staff at Harvey Animal Hospital 🐾

With a whole stack of new staff, they invited us in to present on canine body language and behavior, two very important areas of focus for their clinic.

Princess is loving her Churu pop so much she doesn’t even realize Gabby is drawing her blood! If you didn’t already know, we at Harvey believe in Fear Free and Low Stress Practices for all of our patients. Vet visits should be fun, not stressful for pets.
