If you have pumpkins that have not been treated our farm will gladly take them. Our farm is located in Grottoes. We will take the pumpkins, chop them up and give to them.

While the Zoo was fun, we noticed we may need to make the pens a bit bigger so we have more space for the animals and kids. We are looking to get 2-3 more 6ft cattle gates and 1 more 4ft cattle gate like the ones shown below. If you know anyone who has any extras they are wanting to get rid of or sell please let us know.

One of the items we are selling to help with the repairs on the homestead.
Just shows old ways still work! So cool and awesome they could help in this disaster
10/02/2024
Some of the total damages from the past few days. So lucky it didn’t hit either of our houses and vehicles. Most of the animals survived the storm. We had some chickens pass when a massive tree fell onto the coop so no more selling eggs for a bit 😔
As many of you know I do mobile petting zoos and little farm visits here for kids to play with the animals. We are also selling a lot of farm antiques I post on Chicana Antiques
I also do tarot readings for individuals & groups on Chicana Bruja
Trying to raise some funds to help with some of the damages done to the homestead. Message me for more info.
Due to this storm we will not be selling more eggs for a while. A big part of my flock was crushed from the massive tree you see in the chicken coop.
I’m will sell eggs when I can but it won’t be large amounts like before.
I’ve also started pet sitting again.
I have 2 rooms available at home and a fenced in area for them to potty and hopefully one the rain is gone, a large field for them to play in.
I can also do overnight pet sitting

Please please stay safe! Our little creek looks like a river now 😱
Roads are flooded, trees down, power lines down!
Check your livestock and pets when you can, check fences to make sure trees haven’t fallen on them and make sure someone knows where you are at all times!

Making Moronga with dad 💕
Something you won’t find find in stores is Moronga. It’s a type of blood sausage from Mexico. Adding spices like mint & oregano with rice, carrots and other veggies. All being mixed with pig blood and encased in the pig’s intestines. It’s a delicacy in Mexico.
This dish is high in iron, zinc, and protein as well is low in carbs and low in fat content.
With all the recent recalls and all the processed meals… I know where this came from at least
Como está buena un Pajarete el fin de semana 💕🐄🥤
Did you know that Keto isn’t only a fad diet? Ketosis is when the body starts to burn fat instead of glucose.
This happens to cattle when their body demands more energy exceeding the energy intake (like new cows who have extremely high milk production)
Basically they make more milk than their body can safely do.
Symptoms include
• loss of appetite
• Decrease in milk
• Moody behavior
• Stress/Pain
• Lethargy
There are ups and downs in any homestead. I was waiting till today to post this. Thankfully with dad’s 20+ years of experience on a dairy farm and us being nosy 24/7 with our animals, we noticed Caramelo was off.
Our Carmelo has always been a bit picky but never so much, she was showing signs of stress when her son was drinking his milk & she didn’t come when we called her like normal.
We were able to figure it out pretty quickly and get what she needed.
Giving some penicillin & Dextrose with some extra yummy foods higher in protein.
🚨Dextrose needs to be done very carefully and slow. Doing it too fast will in fact kill your livestock. 🚨
This morning she was the first at the gate for her breakfast and giving her “kisses” again. 💕
Here’s a cool video showing signs & the solution. Follow us on Tik Tok for more video content!

After more than a year my dad finally got his “Tripas de Res”
Beef intestines. Sometime last year they stopped selling in stores and he of course was craving them and finally got them 😂
After School Time?
It’s been shown that Animal Assisted Activities can help students cope with stress and anxiety in school.
I remember in college during exam week, we in FFA would do a petting zoo and the way people melted when playing with the animals was a huge improvement!
As school begins, I’ve had a few people comment about when the petting zoo will be back up and running.
We are currently changing our setup! We are moving the animals further back not only for their safety but yours!
We love having people come see the animals and play but my driveway isn’t big enough 😅
We have a second entrance where 4-6 cars can easily park. Currently using wood from the farm to make some tables and benches that way kids and families can come sit in the shade while some go play with the animals.
We will have a
• Goat pen for all the friendly goats.
• Calf pen for the baby zebus and our latest bull calf.
• an Emu pen
• a Milking station for the cows and goats.
If everything works out we should be up and running again sometime next month.
The hours would be
Monday-Friday 4pm-7pm
Saturday 10am-7pm
Sunday 2pm-7pm
For many years since I was a kid I’ve wanted to start a dairy goat farm and now able to. I will be making a variety of products from my goats who make organic goat milk and are spoiled rotten.
This first year has seriously been an interesting one. From Hoof trimming well over 100 goats this year to getting Peacocks and Pheasants. My farm has grown so much and I am VERY excited for the spring when baby season will be here for all the animals.
Besides having a large variety of breeding stock I have added more services I thought were needed in the area. From the goat/sheep hoof trimming to now dog grooming and my mobile petting zoo.
The Latest addition to the farm is the Small Animal Adoption Program. I recently have opened up a portion to help Adopt out small animals like guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, and such. Either I take in animals surrendered to me and help rehome them or will help a family in the right direction to someone rehoming or fostering an animal. When I help rehome animals the only cost(s) The Rehoming fee if I paid( usually only if I saw they were in dire need, the feeding cost ( will include a bag of feed for more than enough time to transition feed, and any medical bills if they are a lot.
I am hoping this way to help animals get a second chance to a lovely home :)
