As Minnesota can't decide on what to do with up and down temperatures, both Magnus and Camille have been helping keep possums off the farm and the horses safe. Possums carry a disease/parasite that will disable and kill horses.

6 years ago today Pebbles was headed into the dr for a c-section. She decided otherwise and started delivering them naturally in the truck

"Carbon" went back in the conformation ring this weekend.
She earned a Best In Show Companion.
Thank you to everyone who gave us the push to get back out and have fun. (Mike, Erin & Joe especially) It was a fun weekend seeing old and new friends.

This is the puppy known as Herby the Love bug, he is now Rig. He has grown up so handsome and smart. He is excelling in obedience with his human Hannah. Just this week he upgraded to a continental clip.

*Ziggy, The Big Zig, Ziggifer Robbins* left us earlier this week for the Happy Hunting Grounds, just short of 14 years old.

The first picture from 2015, he was guiding for a veterans hunt. Two wheelchaired vets were on a trailer and shooting from their chairs. One of the guys shot the bird from the trailer, Ziggy made it a point to bring the bird to him. Diana Wise captured the photo. Thank you Diana!
The next photos are of his last hunt. Joe and Erin Yanish of Anvil Wire Pointers helped, they supplied the land, photos and tissues. They have Mick, one of his pups. Thank you guys for being part of his life.
The last is Ziggy and his offspring, winning the Family Group at the IABCA Show in 2017

HEY BUDDY!
Buddy is a 5 and a half month old Standard poodle boy. He lives in Minneapolis with his poodle mom and poodle aunt and his grandhumans, but is looking for a home of his own. He had his AKC papers. He is crate trained and potty trained (kept on a schedule)

Might just look like a bird and a dog. But this is a big deal. This is the first solo wild bird Carbon and I have gotten.
I always doubted my shooting abilities and had a better gunner with us. Not today, she pointed and held, he flushed on his own and I crippled him, he went down and I asked her to search where *I* told her, she wanted to look westward- I said fine, go ahead and look and sent her to the west. (I was feeling doubtful.) Sure enough, he was still able to run and she tracked him into super thick cattails and brought him to hand. Always trust your dog.
Proud moment for both us.

Deer opener in Minnesota is this weekend so we're stay out of the fields and woods- we have plenty of season left, no need to crowd the hunting grounds.
