HI, I'm Rayven!

I'm a 7 month old, mixed breed female puppy who's looking for my forever home.I currently weigh 35 pounds and am estimated to be 45-60 at adult weight. Santa told me to go under my forever family's tree for Christmas but I got lost and ended up in the forest all alone! Luckily, a very nice person found me and told me they'd help me find my family. Since then, my life has been pretty amazing and no one really knows how I ended up abandoned in the woods. Luckily, I always look on the bright side and my tiny puppy brain doesn't remember much of my life before I met my foster family anyway.

I live with my foster parents, three older dog siblings, and two cat siblings and I LOVE all of them. I respect my cat siblings and never chase or bother them. I save all the bothering for my dog siblings and use my puppy powers to get them to play with me and let me cuddle with them. They're very tolerant of my sassy, teenager behavior and always make sure to gently remind me how to be polite if I'm too rough while playing. I'm learning quick but all of us like playing the 'Bitey Face Game' and we all share our toys equally!

My favorite hobbies include preparing for my WWE (WOOF Wrestling Entertainment) debut, pretending to be an alligator, putting on fashion shows with my sweater collection, practicing my echolocation, and testing dog beds for local businesses to rate comfiness. I like the finer things in life despite probably living outside for a while. I need sweaters and coats when its chilly out, I DO NOT like stepping in puddles (the movies said someone would put their coat over puddles for me!), and I need lots of comfy bedding in my kennel so I can sleep like the princess I am.

Although I'm beautiful, don't let my pretty face fool you, I'm smart too! I've picked up all my basic obedience super quick. I'm perfecting my sit, down, kennel, place, polite greetings, open door manners, and leash walking. I don't have accidents in my kennel and I sleep there all through the night! I am still a young girl so I'm very excited to learn more, especially if learning includes TREATS!

Meet Shasta!

Shasta is a five month old spayed female French Bulldog puppy. She is a very sweet girl looking for a wonderful forever home. She is currently being fostered in Battle Creek, MI.

This sweet girl found her way to the rescue after being born with hydrocephalus. That means that she was born with water on her brain. She takes twice daily medication to prevent possible seizures. In her two months in foster care, she has been a very healthy and normal puppy besides a single seizure. However, this is certainly something for potential adopters to consider. It would be strongly encouraged to establish Shasta with a veterinary neurologist so that if needed in the future, a veterinary client patient relationship already exists. It is unlikely that Shasta will live a normal French Bulldog lifespan. However, she is such a happy girl and she deserves to be spoiled and live her best life with someone who loves her.

Shasta gets along great with other dogs and cats. She is fine with dogs of all sizes, however, due to her hydrocephalus, care should be taken to not knock her around. Therefore, larger dogs need to be capable of playing gently with her or be uninterested in rough housing. Children in the home should be older as dropping Shasta could pose further dangers than dropping a “normal” dog.

This sweet girl is doing well with potty training. She goes to the door often to alert you that she needs to go outside and will bark when crated if she wants out. She does well in a crate though does whine at times if she has not received enough exercise for the day. She loves to be with people and loves cuddling up to watch tv. She loves being held and just wants to be wherever the humans are. She is relatively mellow for a puppy. She loves cuddling with other dogs and cats. Other animals in the home are not necessary though she does like to play with other dogs. A fenced in yard would be preferred but we would consider a home without.

This sweet boy is approximately 7 months old, weighs in at a tiny 5 pounds, and is ready to find his forever home. 🏡 Yin was born in May in Michigan, but his journey took a turn for the better when a kind-hearted rescuer found him and his family living in unsafe conditions. Woof!! I’m Mercedes, a sweet and sassy Lovebug!

I’m a 2-3 year old female Mixed breed. I weigh 36 pounds and am the perfect size. I am potty trained, crate trained and good with other animals.

It may take me a while to warm up to you but once I do, we can be best friends! I like to follow around my foster mom and sit right next to her, as close as I possibly can and I’m also easily redirected to my bed when she needs some space. I feel like I need to protect my home so I bark at the people and dogs walking by the house. Though I am very friendly when I meet them on walks and at the park. I do best with larger dogs since I like to play a little rough!

I like playing with all kinds of toys and bones, eating yummy snacks, going for walks and adventures of all kinds but am just as happy to Netflix and chill! I would probably to best in a home with older kids!

Before coming to SPEAK I was a stray and needed surgery on my hip after being hit by a car. I am much happier now that I have healed. I would benefit from regular walks to continue to progress and build muscle in my back leg and some patience to work on my confidence. I promise it will be worth it! Are you waiting to fall in love?

Meet Hawkeye! 🐾

This sweet, 1.5-year-old Australian Shepherd might not be able to see or hear, but his heart is full of love and curiosity. 💖 Weighing in at 30 pounds, Hawkeye is learning to navigate the world through his nose and touch – and he's doing it like a champ! 🐶

He’s already mastered sitting on command, and with some extra patience and a little help from touch training, he’s excited to keep learning more! 🧠✨ While Hawkeye is still figuring out the finer points of life (like crate training), he’s potty trained and ready to be your perfect companion. 🏡

Hello, I am Scarlett!

I am a 2 year old spayed female Pitbull/Boxer mix weighing 65 pounds. Life hasn’t always been kind, but I’ve learned to be brave and independent. I am full of life, always ready for a brisk walk. I am big but I am not scary. I can love just like any dog; I just need someone who I can trust to not hurt me anymore and show me I matter. I am as sweet as sugar and as playful as a puppy.

I do need a little training. I get excited to see people and want to jump to show them affection. I will require a tall fence (6+ feet) in my future home.

My energy is infectious, and I can turn any dull moment into a fun one! I’ve got a smart head on my shoulders and am quite independent, but won’t say no to a good cuddle. I’m brave and have overcome a lot in my life.

Yo, hoomans! Brisket here—your future best buddy, cheese connoisseur, and professional good boy.

Let me tell ya a little about me. I’m a 1-year-old male boxer weighing 76 pounds, and I’m basically the full package: ruggedly handsome, hilariously charming, and totally ready to crash at your place forever (rent free).

Now, let’s get this outta the way—I tolerate crates. Do I like them? Nah. Do I give my foster hoomans the saddest boxer eyes until they let me out? Absolutely. I mean, who needs a crate when the couch or your bed exists, amirite?

I’m new to this “indoor living” thing, but let me tell you—it’s AMAZING. The floors aren’t made of dirt, the snacks come in wrappers, and the furniture? Soft. Big fan. BIG. FAN.

I’ve got three small hoomans (ages 5, 10, and 14), and I think they’re the best. They drop crumbs, share snuggles, and are overall my kinda people. Cats, though? NOPE. Those sneaky little floofs look like a great toy. My foster mom says I can steal the actual stuffed animals but the cats are not for me. So, I guess we’re not friends, and I’d like to keep it that way.

Now, let’s talk about my one true love: cheese. You got a cheese stick? OH BABY. I’ll do tricks! By tricks I mean I’ll wag my nub, and I’ll even sit (those are really the only 2 tricks I have right now, but I can learn more)—whatever it takes for that sweet, dairy goodness.

Meet Precious!

Precious is a 7 month old Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair. This beautiful girl found herself at animal control with a severely injured tail that had to be amputated. Fortunately with the wonderful care of her veterinarian that is fostering her, she has made a full recovery! Precious is currently being fostered in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This sweet girl enjoys the company of her human companions. We believe she would do fine in a home with older respectful children. Precious shows a good interest in other cats and would likely do fine in a home with other nice cats with proper introductions. We believe that Precious would also do fine in a home with cat savvy dogs that are respectful and gentle with cats. Precious is litter box trained.

Precious has found a love for cat towers and enjoys perching in the sun on the highest perch. She loves to swat cat toys around the room and launch herself in the air to play with wand toys. She loves to be wherever the people are and would love to find a forever home where she can have a nice cozy couch and bed to sleep on.

This beautiful girl loves her wet and dry food. She loves having little cubbies to rest in. She is up to date on all of her vaccines, she is negative for FIV and FeLV, she is spayed, and up to date on flea prevention. She came to animal control with a severely injured tail that required amputation. She is being fostered at a veterinary clinic and the veterinarian responsible for her care has absolutely fallen in love with her... so you know that she is special! Precious has healed wonderfully from her tail amputation that has left her tailless. We think that it gives her character and makes her that much cuter!
