Lately we have been experiencing an alarmingly high rate of clients failing to show up to their scheduled appointments. These no shows are detrimental to the business's ability to pay our staff, not to mention extremely inconsiderate to our loyal clientele who could have been offered that spot instead.

We now must take steps to prevent these no shows in the future. Over the next few days, please be on the lookout in your email for our updated Grooming Contract which will now require a signature from all active clients. This contract is in place to protect the business, and also more clearly outlines some of our procedures to clients. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.

It's worth noting, nail trim only appointments do not fill an appointment slot and are given leniency on rescheduling, even last minute.

Scout and Izzie are a fun pair - they're not actually related and not even from the same family! I began grooming Izzie first and a couple of appointments later her neighbor asked where she was going because she loved the groom so much. So now they come together and the two families take turns with drop off and pickup. It's always a good day when these two are on the books 😊

I've been grooming Winnie every 4 weeks for most of her life. She's a special girl and has been kicked out of other shops previously due to behavior issues. With a frequent schedule, consistency, and dedicated work from her family between appointments, she's now doing really well for grooming. While she never comes in excited to see me, this time she did pose for a photo and wag her tail after we finished. Sometimes it's the small things.

Our Story

Hi! My name is Christina and I am the owner and operator here at The Dawg Shoppe Pet Salon & Spa. I have ten years of grooming experience in both the private and corporation industries. The Dawg Shoppe came into existence after grooming from my Grove City home for quite some time. My space became to small and my availability was becoming tight. I then decided to relocate into a storefront salon in historical downtown Grove City. After a year at our first location and adding three more stylists to my team, we needed more space. We then relocated to 3965 Hoover Rd (Next to Big Lots). It was there when our team grew by two more professional, passionate stylists. We offer affordable prices and convenient appointment times ranging from mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends Each pet can be finished in just about two hours. There is no job too small, We even offer nail trims for $10.00. Full Grooms start at $45.00 and Bath and Brush Packages start at $20.00.
