Meet the staff!

Today's spotlight is on one of our lovely ladies up front at reception, Alta Rice. Alta is originally a Cali girl, born in Modesto and grew up in Atascadero, Ca. She is married to her wonderful husband Shane and has 2 beautiful daughters--Megan and Shannon. Alta has 3 adorable cats--Ninja, Panzi and Willow, an energetic Aussie--Jedi Tyrion and a Gecko named Benny.

We asked Alta some fun questions!

🔹What is one thing you couldn't live without? My family, furbabies included. 🐾
🔸Who is your favorite band? Foo Fighters, Black Hole Sun, Linkin Park, and Sanitariam! 🎸🤘
🔹What can you be found doing outside of work? Reading, going to concerts, hiking, playing video games and playing with my pets and yard work.
🔸What was your first job? Babysitting
🔹What is your favorite foo? Pasta and Veggies 🍝🥦
🔸If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go? Europe to see the old buildings, villages, cottages, especially in Scotland, Ireland and Germany. 🗺🏰
🔹What are your favorite TV shows? Criminal Minds, Dogma and all of the Harry Potter Movies.🪄
🔸What is your favorite part of your job? Getting to see all of the pets and my coworkers! 🐾

Alta is the sweetest, kindest soul who shows up everyday with a smile on and ready to work. Her love language is gift giving and loves to spoil all of us with goodies, treats and snacks throughout the year. We love having Alta work with us!❤️

Meet the Staff!

Today's spotlight is on one of our amazing technicians, Kassi Simmons. Kassi attended NEO A & M and then Tulsa Community College where she received her Registered Veterinary Technician License. Kassi has many years of experience in veterinary medicine and absolutely loves working with animals of all kinds. Kassi lives in Bluejacket with her husband Ronnie and her two beautiful daughters, Tori and Mersadies. Kassi has horses, cows, and absolutely loves her rescue schnauzer mix Scotty B!

Kassi is compassionate and caring with every animal she works with and is one of the hardest workers in the room. Kassi's passion for animals shines through every day and we love getting to work with her!

Meet the Staff!

Today's spotlight is on one of our wonderful Veterinarians, Dr. Lea Ann Chandler.

Dr. Chandler grew up here in Grove on her family's cattle and pecan farm where she later graduated from Grove High School. She attended undergrad and veterinary school at none other than Oklahoma State University! Go Pokes! Dr. Chandler is married to her high school sweetheart, Bryce. She has two children, Corbin, a Junior at Oklahoma State and Kara, a senior at Grove High School. Her pets include two of the best housecats in the world, Cooter and Daisy.

We asked Dr. Chandler some fun questions below!

🐾What are some of your favorite hobbies? Cooking, gardening, buying more houseplants, reading and crafting.🪴🎍🌷🪻
🐾What is your favorite part of your job? Tail wags, purrs, and happy endings.
🐾What are three places you would love to travel to? Alaska, Australia and Ireland, because of their amazing scenery and the animals each country has.
🐾What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? Go on an Alaskan Cruise! 🛳
🐾What's something you would like to learn how to do? Quilting and Macramé.
🐾When did you decide you wanted to become a veterinarian? When I was in 6th grade, on the first day of school Mrs. Hamilton asked what we wanted to be and that's when I announced that I wanted to be a veterinarian!
🐾What was your inspiration for becoming a veterinarian? Being raised on a farm I was always drawn to the importance of good husbandry, the value of preventative care and early disease intervention and treatment. This was what sparked my decision and passion for veterinary medicine.

Dr. Chandler's attention to detail, compassion for her patients and talented surgery and internal medicine skills are just a couple reason why she is such a wonderful veterinarian! We are so thankful to have her on the team caring for our wonderful patients!
