We missed two $5.00 Fridays last month, so we're working hard to catch up. A special thanks to our donors for their support even when we're silent.
With adoptions currently slow, we must keep purchasing dog food and providing flea and tick prevention, vaccinations and our two neuters approaching for Pharoah and Sampson. Your donations will go towards those things needed. Progress is steady, and the Five-dollar Friday Initiative remains crucial for rescuing dogs in need. We would like to begin by expressing our gratitude to everyone who has assisted us financially with our five little pups. We are thrilled to announce that Rowen and Ruffles have found their forever homes today, and Pringles will join his new home tomorrow. Chip and Taki, both charming in their own right, are still awaiting a loving family. Our $5.00 Friday initiative remains crucial to sustain the care for the 20 other dogs currently in our rescue, as well as any newcomers.

It's time for our $5.00 Friday initiative again!
The first two images feature strays, presumably mother and son. We're eager to ensure their safety but require a foster home. If you're ready to welcome them into your home and you're within 30 miles of Grove, please contact us immediately. We'll supply everything they need until adopted at no cost to you!

Bentley is in urgent need of a foster home that can provide supervision when interacting with other dogs or serve as his sole companion, as he exhibits excessive energy during dog play and becomes agitated.

Hello to the $5.00 Friday initiative supporters!
We have fantastic news about the adorable puppies we were treating for ringworm. The vet has declared them non-contagious and ready for adoption. They are lively and healthy, though they still have tiny bald patches where their fur is regrowing.
As adoptions are currently at a standstill, we continue to need funds for dog food, potty pads, essentials, and veterinary care. Girly and Ashby say "Happy Fall Y'all"

This handsome boy is Rick! Rick is one of the best well-rounded dogs. He is very bright and can learn new things, with just by spending some time with him and teaching. His foster Debra Lee Calvert has taught him so much while he has been with her. Watch the video and see a tad bit what Rick has learned. OH, DID I FORGET TO MENTION, RICK IS THE PERFECT SIZE AT 20LBS. HE FITS PERFECTLY IN A KAYAK AND THAT LEADS ME TO TELL YOU THAT HE LOVES KAYAKING!! (see pic in comments). He also loves Squirrel watching out the window. (Ask for pics) Rick knows some sign language and commands to them. Like Sit, Down, and No. (Ask for video) JUST ASK ABOUT THIS GREAT BOY! Rick is neutered, fully vaccinated, flea and tick treated, dewormed and microchipped. Just call or text to (760)680-3713 Don't miss out on this house trained boy that loves to talk.

*****UPDATE***** Yoda had his surgery on the 8th and is recovering at Fairland vet still. We are hoping he will get to leave on the 12th. We found out that this was not Yoda's first surgery on his leg. His X-rays showed that he already had some pins in the leg in the past. It also showed he had a current shatter to his hip that was causing Yoda the pain. because of the pins and current shatter, they had to amputate up higher. our vet bill is now about $1200. we have raised $570 so far, so we still need your help! Special dogs sometimes have special needs. Meet Yoda, he was found on the streets of Grove by a caring citizen. When Yoda was brought to 4 The Love Of Rescue a 501(C)3, he had a very old break in his back leg. All his muscle mass is gone leaving the dead leg just hanging and causing him pain and discomfort. After 2 veterinarian consults, we decided it was best for Yoda to have his leg amputated. Fairland Veterinary Hospital will be doing his surgery on June 8th. Yoda’s surgery will cost just around $1,000, please consider making a donation and also please consider sharing Yoda’s story. 4 The Love of Rescue is located in Hesperia, California We adopt out our animals in all of California as well as surrounding states. We have an adoption application that includes photos or a video of your home, if you are not within our area for a home check. After the adoption approval, we set up a meet and greet with you, the animal you are wanting to adopt and any pet's you may have in order to see how everyone gets along. If all goes well, we finalize the adoption and your pet can go home with you that day. Our adoption fees vary from animal to animal. What the adoption fee covers: * All medical -up-to-date on vaccinations including Rabies, (for dogs and pups over 4 months), spayed or neutered,(for dogs and pups over 6 months), deworming and micro-chip. In certain cases, some of our rescues require an extensive amount of medical treatment to get them healthy. We will spare no expense when it comes to the health and well being of our animals. Extensive medical costs will never be passed on to the adopting family but your adoption fee does help us recover some of the costs. *Supplies you will receive with adoption – leash and collar, treats, blankets and toys. All pets are seen by appointment.
