Our Story
It was started and is still maintained by the staff of thte Veterinary Trauma and Medical Center of Groveland, Florida. We are an advanced level care facility designed for services relating to dog and cat surgery, medical problems and critical care.
The Veterinary Trauma and Medical Center opened in 2003 to help those seeking a facility with experience in orthopedics, general surgery, and major medical diagnosis and treatment, as well as physical therapy and rehabilitation..
Our Chief of Staff Dr. Ronald Stone has over 40 years of experience and was at one time a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and of Medicine at the University of Miami’s School of Medicine. Although a DVM not an MD he was a participant in their Diabetes Research Project and was a member of the Transplant division.
Dr. Stone has been a past president of the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the Lake County Veterinary Medical Association. He has published over 150 articles in the profession and supervised numerous research trials.
