Please anyone who goes to church see if your preacher will ask the congregation to pray for the victims of Hellene and consider donating to help them survive the winter. I will be making another trip to western North Carolina sometime next week with whatever I can collect. Propane and propane heaters or kerosene heaters will help them to stay warm. I heard several people have already died from exposure recently. 614-592-2614

Just want to say thank you to local businesses that donated items for me to take down to North Carolina to help the flood victims. I made the trip on October fourth. Obetz hardware donated shovels to help with cleanup. Thank you David. Zack at Ace hardware in Groveport donated water. Thank you Zack. Advanced Auto donated gas cans. Thank you advanced auto. And family members donated $750 for supplies and expenses. I am going to do this again as soon as I get enough supplies to make it worth it. I am asking for anyone who is interested and willing to donate to please contact me at 614-592-2614. Propane and propane heaters, new blankets, sleeping bags, non perishable food, headlamps or flashlights and lots of batteries, new rubber boots in 9 10 11 sizes men and average sizes for women, rubber gloves and winter gloves, camp stoves for cooking, and small generators. This list is not complete but the best I can do for now. If you cannot afford to donate a large item like a generator I do also accept cash to go towards one and for expenses for the trip. I have a 1999 suburban and a 12 foot enclosed trailer to haul with. Please help me to help these poor people that have lost everything and are trying to start over again. I have lived here in Groveport since 1978. Let’s help our neighbors in the mountains. — attending Donations for flood victims in western North Carolina .

He made it home about an hour ago!

Update:
Just talked to Roger.📞 He is in Tennessee at his aunt Carolyn and Uncle Kenneth's house. They stayed the night with cousin's Cheryl and Harold (Thank You). Guess I'm going to have to buy Roger some more clothes, his bag of clothes to change into was given with the rest of the stuff (someone can use them there). They are going to visit with relatives and then be heading home later today. He will call me and update when he is headed this way. He said he will be making another run down there so anything you want to donate, just drop it off here. When he gets home we might do a go fund me page to help with things for these people. Keep them all in your prayers, they need our help so much. ❤

update: They met up with volunteers in Boone, N.C. that helped them unload the items and they will be taken up the mountain on atv's. Roger can't help do the cleanup because he is still recovering from a triple bypass in April, but he can do the driving as long as he has someone with him. I have been checking up on them. A few times I couldn't get through with the call.

Heard from Roger and Pj about an hour ago. They were an hour away from Asheville, N.C. They said they got off the freeway a little and it was a mistake, the road was washed away further down, so they went another way. They crossed a bridge by zig zagging around trees that were on it. Thanks to our friend and former dog trainer, Marla she shared some contacts that I relayed to him. Hopefully he will meet up with them and they can take the stuff up into the mountains on the mules. He had lost cell phone service for a little while, but I called to check on him at the perfect moment when they had it. I'm sure they probably have lost it again by now. They were doing ok, they pulled over and slept for a while last night. I will keep everyone updated the best that I can. Pray for them to be safe and for the people down there. This is much worse than the tv news says. Thousands have died (not 205) and thousands are still missing. My heart goes out to these people and I hope that they can get the supplies the guys brought to them. Besides the stuff that was already in the trailer, they had 5 carts full of stuff from Sam's club and then they stopped at Walmart for more. I will share pictures when he gets back.
Lord, please keep your hand on their shoulders and guide them to find the right place to get to the people who need help the most and safely bring them home when they are done. I ask that you comfort those affected by this terrible storm and restore their lives as soon as possible with reassurance that things are going to get better and this nightmare will be over. Keep them in your loving arms. This I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Roger and PJ left at 6 pm for North Carolina. I glad that he has such a caring heart, but I will worry about him until he is back home, at least Pj went with him and I helped to make sure he had all his meds and everything he might need. I sent him with two fully charged cell phone chargers. When he gets an idea in his head there is no talking him out of it. I hope he finds the right people to give stuff to because they need all we can get to them. My prayers are with them all and for God to watch over Roger and Pj, keep them safe going, there and coming home.
