One question I'm always being asked is; can I shave down my Husky?
No! Any thick coated breeds like Huskies, Shepherd's, Samoyed's,
St. Bernard's, Border Collies, Australian Shepherds etc. should never be shaved down. Their fur helps keep them insulated in the winter and cool in they summer. When you do find a groomer that will actually shave one down, the coat will not ever grow back the same. It will get kinky, (like a bad perm) it can grow back in patches or both. But the fur will never be the same. Please don't do it! A reputable groomer will not shave your dog until you know all the consequences. Always ask if you think your dog will be better off shaved down🥺🐕🐶

Of course there are certain breeds you can shave and should. Please research your breed for more information or ask me! I'll be more than happy to help you!

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I posted. I'm sorry about that! Life happens, work, holiday's, family, friends and dogs! For those who personally know me, know I work hard on the daily! With that being said, I need to tell you the amazing doggie product I found! Simple, durable and has calmed our "tweaker" dog, Lilly Mae, down tremendously!

If you have a high maintenance, high anxiety, compulsive-licking dog, do yourself a favor and buy a "Lick Matt." I bought the 2 pack off Amazon and I can't believe it works!!!

Lilly is an 8 year old (rescued) Blue Healer, Border Collie X. Yes, by nature very high strung. She's an obsessive licker. Me, dad, other dogs, blankets, floors, herself, the list goes on! She even chewed her nails and finally stopped 6 months ago.

Did I mention high anxiety??

The lick matts are brilliant! Made from food grade silicone. They're super easy to clean. You can put pnut butter, (non-Xylitol)
Coconut oil or other dog safe treat that can be smeared. It took Lilly almost an hour to finish 2 tablespoons of pnut butter! This was incredible! After licking, she jumped on the bed and was plainly tired. I'm sure her tongue was a little tender but O' my..she didn't, scratch, lick, fidget or whine! Unbelievable!

(FYI, I did look at her tongue and it looked normal.)

So, I highly recommend you grab a few of these lick matts. Also, a side note, I actually felt less anxious watching her enjoy it! Pic is Lilly Mae and a link to Amazon. No..I do not get royalties from this. Let me know how it goes!
