How can you resist falling head over heels for this ray of sunshine? Meet Camella, the spirited and highly intelligent, Chocolate Lab/Staffordshire mix. Her sparkly eyes, perpetual grin and silly antics are totally infectious. Picture yourself watching your favorite show with Camella's huge noggin on your lap, or her sitting next to you, craving attention and showering you with affection. Camella thrives as the solo pet in a caring forever home with a fenced yard and requires an experienced dog owner. If you have space in your home and heart to give Camella a fresh start where she can spread her warmth, love and joy, then she's the furry friend for you!

If you are interested in meeting Camella, please fill out the Dog Questionnaire provided on our website and email it to [email protected] or call us at (707) 884-1304. We do our best to review all applications as quickly as possible. After we receive your application we will arrange a meet-and-greet by appointment and help you determine if Camilla is a good match.

After being surrendered to the Redwood Coast Humane Society as a puppy, Bear has successfully found his forever family just in time for the new year. His new family shared with us yesterday "Bear is a great dog. Perfect for us. He has found his home." โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ

Sadly, Bear's situation is not unique. Rescue organizations nationwide are facing similar challenges as pet owners can no longer care for their animals for a variety of reasons. With shelters overflowing, spaying & neutering is even more important than ever before. If you need help with getting your pets spayed or neutered, contact your local Humane Society for more information on low cost or no cost programs.

Redwood Coast Humane Society is currently overwhelmed with requests to accept more dogs but we are at full capacity. It's surprising considering the many amazing dogs like Bear (and cats) we have that are still waiting for their forever homes. Trippโ€™s dream for a happy 2025 came just in the nick of time. It was a long road for sweet Tripp after being hit by a car. She spent the last 6 months under intensive care at the Gualala Vet Clinic and thanks to their lifesaving care, Tripp survived and thrived. A Christmas miracle for the volunteers at the Redwood Coast Humane Society who are incredibly grateful to Dr. Barkhurst and her staff for helping Tripp heal and land in the loving arms of her new family!

The Redwood Coast Humane Society is committed to doing our utmost to helping furry friends but our kennels are currently at capacity, and a shortage of foster homes. If you can open your heart and home for this sweet brindled Pitpotamus, weโ€™ll take care of the restโ€”spay, microchip and vaccinations, all on us! Weโ€™re shouting her availability from our digital rooftops, once again hoping you can help us find her a forever or foster home together!

Contact us at [email protected], (707) 884-1304 if you can help and PLEASE share!

A concerned community member found sweet Tripp after she was hit by a car. They immediately took her to Gualala Veterinary Clinic where she was treated for a broken pelvis. Meanwhile Trippโ€™s four kittens were discovered nearby and fostered by a Redwood Coast Humane Society volunteer. After a period of silence regarding Tripp's condition we feared the worst, so it was a delightful surprise to discover she is now ready for adoption. Tripp is loving, enjoys cuddling, chatting and thrives on attention. Due to her injury she should be kept as an indoor cat in a calm home.

The Redwood Coast Humane Society shelter is open on Saturdays from 12-2pm to meet our cats and kittens. Kindly note that an appointment is required to meet our dogs. We are located at 39151 S. Hwy 1 in Gualala across from the Seacliff Center. If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues please go to our website redwoodcoasthumane.org and complete a โ€œCat or Dog Adoption Questionnaireโ€. The Questionnaire can be submitted online, returned to [email protected] or mailed to P.O. Box 1072 Gualala CA 95445.
