Thank you everyone for attending our 2nd Annual Basset Hound Halloween Event in Milton Florida.
Thank You PETSENSE Milton and Gulf Breeze Florida Stores. Thank you to the PETSENSE TEAM and for the gift basket and parting bags with gifts, treats and discount coupons. Also, thank you to BARKLEY the PETSENSE MASCOT for making it a fun day.
Thank you Kathryn Barley AKC Show Dog Champion Breeder for providing the amazing gift basket to give away at the Event.
We also want to thank Commissioner Keri Smith for being our advocate with Santa Rosa County Commissioners and the Santa Rosa County Parks & Recreation team setting up the fence and processing our application for use of the facility. I highly recommend visiting Bagdad Mill Site Park. It is a great park for family, fishing or just walking enjoying nature.
I want to give a special thank you to Christine & Bryan Martinie for being the Greeters/ Gatekeeper keeping our Fur babies safe and keeping Barney from escaping no matter how many times he tried. And thank you for bringing the cooler full of ice cold water.
Thank you everyone for keeping the area super clean it will go a long way in applying for the location for next year.
I will be posting pics in no particular order of the Event. If you have pics please post or send to me so I can post for you.

HONEY says, don't forget there will be a Halloween Costume Contest at the Basset Hound Halloween Event this Saturday at the Bagdad Mill Site Park Milton Florida. 1PM

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE BASST HOUND EVENT NOV. 9th.

I need Volunteers to help with the Contest and someone to be the GREETER at the gate of the event.
The GREETER will be responsible for letting everyone into the control fence area. You will be Greeting everyone who enters, hand out a Blue Ribbon for every Basset, a free roll of P**p bags, chances for the prizes. Keep the gate secured.
VOLUNTEERS : You will assist me with contest and raffle, etc.
I need 2 more JUDGES for the various contest . Commissioner Kerry Smith will be the Master of Ceremony and a JUDGE as well so we will have 3 JUDGES total.
Please Volunteer to fill these important roll so everyone can have a fun experience. Last year our volunteers were a huge part in making the Event run smoothly and help Connie & I stay on schedule. You will recieve aN OFFICAL , SPIFFY BADGE. see attach.
Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RSVP if you are coming this Saturday to the best Basset Hound Halloween Event in the area.

NEXT SATURDAY NOVEMBER 9TH
Here is the schedule for our 2nd. Annual Halloween Basset Hound Event:
12 Noon Volunteers please show up.
1 PM Event opens
1:15PM Event Picture
1:30 PM Basset Halloween Costume Parade Judging. (3 winners) !:45 PM Longest Ear Contest ( 3 winners)
2 PM Biggest Paw Contest ( 3 Winners)
2:15PM Youngest & Oldest Basset Contest ( 2 winners)
2: 20 PM Farthest Driven Contest. ( 1 Winner)
2:30 PM Event Closes.
Every Basset attending will receive a Blue ribbon strip.
Winners of the Contests will receive a big Blue 1st. place ribbon.
You will be given a free roll of doggie p**p bags to keep and take home. Please help by cleaning up after your Basset. There will be trash boxes surrounding the inside fence.
Santa Rosa County is putting up a orange plastic temporary fence for us to help keep our Fur babies in a controlled safe environment. We plan on having Volunteers to help control the gate, but, YOU are responsible for your Basset for the entire event.
Everything is FREE there is no charge for anything .
Connie and I wanted to do this for our Bassets Barney & Honey and the Basset Community as the closes Basset Event is in Tampa Florida.
We look forward to seeing you Saturday !!

PLEASE RSVP. This will help us better understand how many free stuff to bring. We have more Bassets registered than last year which last year we had 32 Basset Hounds attend.

14 DAYS UNTIL OUR BASSET HOUND HALLOWEEN PARTY !! FREE FOR ALL BASSET HOUNDS and their assistants (owners).Costume contests, biggest paws contest, longest ears contest, oldest Basset, youngest Basset, farthest traveled Basset. Every Basset Hound will receive a Blue Ribbon for just coming to meet their distant cousins.

November 9th 1PM @ Bagdad Mill Site Park in Milton Florida.
