We’re only half way through the course and these dogs are doing AMAZING 🤩 Look at them practicing their down stays as a group!
Beyond the Basics is a 5 week course for those that have completed our Beginner Basics program where we take your dogs training to the next level. In this course we introduce and perfect:
✔️ Coming past distractions
✔️ A proper heel with auto sits
✔️ Stays for distance, duration distraction
✔️ A send and duration for “Place”
✔️ Stand
✔️ Impulse Control
✔️ Wait
… and so much more!!
This course is designed to give all the skills required to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluation.

Rainy (and windy) days can be tough for some dog owners 🌧️ Here are some of our favorite indoor activities to help burn your pup’s excess energy and keep them out of trouble:
🐾 Snuffle Mats and puzzle toys with their dinner. You can even hide their food around the house and have them sniff to find it!
🐾 Training of course! Whether it is at home or sessions at our climate controlled training facility, training is great mental enrichment for your pup!
🐾 Head to Lowe's Home Improvement or Bulldog Brewing Co. with your dog for a fun outing!
🐾 Play fun interactive games with your dog like Hide ‘N Seek, Puppy Ping Pong (calling your dog back and forth), home made obstacle courses, fetch, and tug.
🐾 Kongs, chews, and lick mats as extra entertainment to keep them out of trouble!

2023 was a big year for us, so here is a little recap:
• Helped train over 300 dogs 🐾
• Won Best of of the Emerald Coast Dog Training & NextDoor Neighborhood Fave ⭐️
• Two of our trainer were ranked Sniffspot’s top trainers in Florida 🥇
• We added another amazing (& certified) trainer to our team 👥
• Conducted 4 free public classes in conjunction with the Friends of Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter 🐶
But most importantly, we got to do what we love: helping people and their dogs! So thank you to all our clients for your continued support!
Social media has a way of glamorizing the dog training process, especially when it comes to working with reactive dogs. Though the clip below may not look like much, THIS is what working with reactive dogs should look like. It should be boring. The goal is for your dog to be in a neutral state where nobody even knows it was/is reactive 🐾
This is Rosie and Bandit’s first time parallel walking with each other, I even put bones and toys on the side to make it more challenging. They did amazing! Would have guessed that both dogs had been through training for reactivity? 🤔
Our decorations are up & we are excited for Halloween 🎃 As you start decorating for the spooky season, don’t forget to desensitize your pup to any costume you might be planning to dress them up in to ensure that they are fully comfortable! Now is also a great time to teach them essential skills like “Leave it” to ensure that they are not getting into any toxic candy or decoration🐾 #halloween #dogs #dogtraining #navarre #gulfbreezeflorida

For Maggie’s last private session we decided to practice her skills at Shoreline park 🤍🐾
With how fast Maggie has been growing, her owners really wanted to focus on developing some solid leash skills to make walking her safe and enjoyable. So that’s what we did! We focused on leash manners, greetings, and overall just setting her up for success in the future ✨

Feisty Fido 🐾
Is your dog on the feistier side? Do they bark and lunge at other dogs when walking? This 4 week course gives owners the skills, practice and guidance to address their dog’s reactivity. Classes are limited to 4 dogs total so each dog has enough space to work safely 🐶
