🍂🦃 Keep Your Pets Safe This Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂

We know how hard it is to resist those big, pleading eyes, but it’s important to keep your furry friends safe during the holiday feast. Avoid the temptation to sneak them a plate! If you do decide to share a little Thanksgiving love, stick to these safe options:

✅ Fully cooked turkey or ham (no bones, please!)
✅ Plain sweet potato, mashed potatoes, or pumpkin puree
✅ Fresh green beans
✅ Apple slices without the seeds or core
✅ Fresh carrots

Happy 21st Birthday, Wiley!🥳

Wiley has been a patient at HSSM’s Wellness Clinic for several years which is a true testament to his good health and admirable age.

Wiley has been receiving Librela injections since the beginning of the year to manage his osteoarthritis pain and he’s had a major increase in mobility, keeping up with his much younger siblings, and an improved quality of life! In fact, he was our very first patient to receive this injection and he recommends it to all of his elderly friends suffering from chronic pain.

Today, he came to the shelter to celebrate with all his friends.

Did your cat miss our pop-up clinic this past Saturday? No worries! 🐾

We are excited to announce another opportunity for your feline friends to get the care they need. Join us on Thursday, August 8th, from 9am to 2pm. We will be offering free HCP vaccines and $10 microchips, ensuring your pets are protected and easily identifiable. (Cats must be in a carrier).

No appointment is necessary for this event as it will be conducted on a walk-in basis. To ensure we can serve as many families as possible, there is a limit of three cats per family. This is a great chance to update your cat's vaccinations and provide them with the added safety of a microchip.

And a special shout out to our partners at Petco Love for the continuous support! Their dedication to animal welfare helps us provide these essential services to our community.
