Tired Dog Rescue

Tired Dog Rescue TDR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that finds homes for abused, abandoned, neglected dogs, and those whose owners are no longer able to care for them.

We focus on small dogs (20 lb. or less) from across the Gulf Coast. Tired Dog Rescue strives to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral and situational dog problems. We believe that the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs currently in a

loving home. All dogs deserve a loving home regardless of age, medical conditions and/or disabilities. Medical care should be provided regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.

This sweet group of five includes three males and two females, and they will be ready for their forever homes around April 1, 2025, when they are 8-10 weeks old. They are playful, affectionate, and would make the perfect addition to any family. Their mother, pictured here, is a loving and gentle companion.

Local adoption only (Gulfport, MS area). Adoption fee is $450, which includes puppy shots, required spay/neuter, and a microchip for their safety.

Adoption Bio for Jack
Meet Jack , a 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a heart as big as his tiny 7.75-pound frame. Jack has faced a lot of uncertainty lately, but he hasn’t let that dull his sweet, affectionate personality. He’s currently under a hold until Friday, January 17, but once that hold is lifted, Jack will be ready to find a loving forever home.

Jack absolutely adores people and thrives on companionship. When left alone, he cries in his kennel, longing for human interaction. Despite his kennel time, he’s proven to be tidy and housebroken, making him a great fit for someone who values cleanliness and good manners in a pup.

While Jack prefers human company, he’s a bit timid around other dogs. During meet-and-greets, he tends to back away from more assertive pups but has shown curiosity around calmer, submissive dogs. He’s the kind of companion who would flourish in a quieter home where he can be the center of attention or with a calm dog who respects his space.

Jack does have some medical challenges. He has a large dermal mass under his right eye, which is being treated with topical antibiotics to prevent infection, and he also has periodontal disease. While these issues don’t dim his spirit, they will need ongoing care. Jack is not yet neutered but would benefit from a family willing to address his health needs and give him the care he deserves.

Meet Petey, the charming 2-year-old Chiweenie on the lookout for a new home! At 12 pounds, this adorable little guy is full of personality and love. While he’s s been a loyal companion to his family, Petey is struggling to adjust to a new baby, and we think he’d be much happier in a home where he can get all the attention he deserves.

Petey is friendly with everyone he meets from kids to cats, dogs, and adults alike. He’s s a lap lover, obedient, and playful, with a fun knack for fetch and toy time. Crate-trained and leash-trained, he’s also housetrained and has low grooming needs. Petey’s gentle, affectionate nature makes him an ideal companion, and he’s s eager to please. Heâ€™ll do best with a fenced yard where he can run and play, making him the perfect addition to any active family!

Hazel is a gorgeous, playful, and loving girl who has been with her family since she was just 8 weeks old. At 3 years old, she is spayed, housebroken, and up-to-date on all vaccines and heartworm prevention.

Hazel is great with other dogs and cats but has a boisterous play style, so she may not be suitable for smaller animals. While she hasn’t lived with children, she has been around them and shown no issues. Hazel is not formally obedience-trained, but she’s well-mannered, non-destructive, and has no behavioral problems. She has never bitten or shown aggression toward humans.

Currently, Hazel lives with a senior dachshund and a young pit mix, and she does wonderfully with both. A large crate will be provided with her adoption.

Hazel is looking for an active and loving home that can keep up with her fun personality and zest for life. She eats Purina Pro Plan Sport to fuel her energy and maintain her health.

Bubbles is scheduled for a dental, spay, and mass removal, so she’ll be feeling her best soon! She is a gentle and affectionate companion, but she needs time to build trust. Once she feels safe, she’ll be your devoted little sidekick! However, she’s not a fan of nail trims until she fully trusts her person.

She would thrive in a calm, low-activity home where she can rest and recover while receiving all the love she deserves.
