Adoption hours tonight are from 4 to 7 PM at 98 Basin Park Dr. We have kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs. If you can commit to caring for and loving them for their lifetime, stop on by and see if we have a match for you.

Cedes DESERVES a loving home. This girl is pure love.

Cedes is an incredibly sweet, quiet 7-year-old girl who is fully vetted and loves children. She comes from a home with another dog but may like dogs on a case-by-case basis.

We are searching for a larger plastic or metal storage shed to house two pallets of kitty litter. We may be able to get the litter for free and don’t want to miss out on such a huge money saver if we don’t have to. Our current shed is used for storing food, live traps, etc and does not have the space for that much litter.

If you have one you would like to donate, or sell at a reasonable price, please let us know.

LAST day of GVAWL’s annual yard sale.

The sale is by donation, although we do have some items priced. All proceeds from this event go to the shelter. If you came last week, you want to come again because we have more than a truckload of new items that have been delivered since last week. These items include new in the box items such as an end table, blender, coffee, maker, and more!

There is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything. We just saw this idea from another shelter and thought it would be a fun way to share events, needs, volunteer opportunities on a regular basis.

Alison is a mixed breed but there is likely some chihuahua in her. At 4 months old she is a typical playful puppy. She is a very sweet, loving, adorable little lady. Allison loves her crate and will gladly go in on her own. She is almost totally housebroken; she'll just need some follow through from her new owners. Allie currently weighs 17lbs and will likely be a 25lb adult dog. She is friendly and playful with other dogs: however, we don't know how she does with cats. Alison will be ready for adoption on September 4th.

3-year-old Bryn went to a foster home on August 22nd and we have learned so much more about her:

• Dogs: Yes, especially if they will play with her.
• Cats: No
• Kids: Probably Not
• Preferred Home Environment: Quiet, stable
• Her Preferred Adopter: At least one female (bonds fiercely with them). She will require lots of time and patience from men and women but for much longer for men.

Bryn has been through a lot and is extremely scared and skittish. She loves her foster home where it’s quiet and calm but she wants a forever home. She will require love and patience- she will require time. But she will be worth it.

As I write this, she is asleep on the couch next to me, head resting on me. It’s only been four days but she gives kisses and gets excited when I enter the room. And she LOVES to snuggle. And loves to try and play with other dogs. And today she picked up a toy and played 😍

This girl is perfect for the right person.

Hi, my name is Beatrice. I’m a very sweet and energetic 11-month-old girl. My brother and sister were DNA tested and it said we are ½ Siberian Husky. However, I’m not that big, don't shed much, and weigh about 45 pounds. I love to hike, run, play, and need a job to work my brain. I love my foster sister and would do well with another sister or brother. I need a backyard to play in and I don’t bark at wildlife. I had all my vaccinations and was spayed as a puppy. I have a little food aggression and need to be fed separately. I would do best with someone who likes to run or hike. I’m smart and am learning how not to pull on the leash. I’ve also learned some good manners and know sit, stay, touch, lay down, drop, and will learn many more manners with training. I have loved living at my foster home but need a forever home.

Tomorrow is the HUGE DAY!!

The yard sale will be at 508 N. 7th St. from 9 AM until 3 PM. No early birds, please.
