Moxie-courageous spirit, perseverance, and determination, that's our Moxie who, spent four nights in inclement weather going between Gunnison Landfill and the Industrial Park.
We want to thank Kayla who spent the weekend and beyond updating everyone on Facebook, and our family; Hamilton's, Hank's, and the Smith's for devoting hours on foot and in cars searching and glassing. We also would like to thank Martin and the county employees who were so accommodating and supportive of our search for four nights.
We would especially like to thank all those caring souls, who didn't even know us, but wanted to find a scared Golden Retriever puppy. But a special thanks to the wonderful couple who found her barking and crying (finally) stuck with her leash in between a rock back at the landfill.

THE POST EVERYONE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR!!!! MOXIE HAS BEEN FOUND!!!! SHE IS ALIVE AND DOING OK DESPITE THE CIRCUMSTANCES!! THANK YOU ALL SO SO MUCH FOR LOOKING, POSTING, IDEAS, PRAYING, SENDING GOOD VIBES, FOR EVERYTHING!!!!! WE ARE ALL BEYOND HAPPY AND GRATEFUL! THANK YOU!!!!

LOST PUPPY! Golden puppy named Moxie jumped out of her owners truck at the dump today about 4pm. She is approximately 5mo old. She is wearing a collar with an air tag on it. Last ping was in town from when he was gassing up at loves. Dispatch has been notified. Please call 970-596-3136. Also please share! share! share!

UPDATE: As of tonight Moxie is still missing. It appears that her air tag maybe malfunctioning as we have no updates on that end. The search will continue tomorrow. If you go out and about please keep your eyes peeled and please call the number above if you see her. The owners vehicle and her bed has been left at the dump in hopes she will come back around. Thank you all again for you support. Please keep sharing!

UPDATE: 10/19 10am. Moxie is still missing. There are a couple of parties out looking for her now and have been since the wee hrs of the morning. To the best of my knowledge no new pings have been noted as I have not been made aware. Thank you all for your support. Please continue to keep your eyes out and spread the word. I know this takes time and we are all remaining hopeful. I will post any updates as I receive them.

UPDATE: 10/19 7pm. Moxie is still out there however we were able to spot her! She seemingly was ok and did have her collar on!! At this time we are asking that you do not go out looking for her. She obviously is terrified and is running. We do ask if you see her please call the number above to tell us where you have seen her. She is in the vicinity of the dump but was/is on the move. We have ceased searching for the night in hopes she will hunker down for hopefully her last night out there and will continue in the morning. We will absolutely reach out in the event we need help on foot. Again we can not thank you enough for your help searching, sharing the post and keeping the algorithm going, and of course your prayers. We will update you when we have something. ❤️

UPDATE 10/20 So far as of now no sightings today. We are hoping that since it's warming up alittle she will utilize the time to start moving and we will see her. We are thinking she went back to when she hunkered down the 1st night so we are hoping she will follow the same path. Please keep your eyes out and remember she's scared. Please also keep interacting with these posts to keep us strong in the algorithm! Thank you all again for your support!!!

UPDATE: 10/20 9pm no sightings today. But we had alot of eyes out. We are hopeful that tomorrow's warm weather and hustle and bustle if the work week will flush her out.

UPDATE: 10/21 10am sorry for the late update today! So no new news overnight. Jamee is back out searching and we are starting to post flyers around the area. We are hoping she will get flushed out today by everyone being back to work. We are also speaking with some home owners along that area and maybe setting up some game cameras to try to better spot her! Please keep interacting, praying, and looking! Also attaching some more recent pictures!

UPDATE 10/20 7pm no luck today. No sightings either. We set up a couple of game cams and maybe able to get a drone in the air tomorrow or Wednesday. Please keep up all the support we appreciate you SO much!

Hi everyone. We are reaching out on a sad note today. We had a good samaritan bring in a dog who was hit by a car up CR 17, unfortunately the poor guy did not make it. He is a young black and white pit mix. Please reach out if he is yours. (970) 641-0460

Hello Gunnison friends!
We had a good samaritan pick up a cat that was hit by a car. It was hit on the street by the Mentors building a block south of ace. The cat didn't make it, we are going to hold it for a while until and owners are found.
It was a big gray tabby. Female we think.

Friends and Fur Families,

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Bailey will be expecting a new addition to her family this upcoming year. Some of you may have noticed as Dr. Bailey's scrubs have gotten tighter over the past few months and have been wondering when we would spread the cheer. Dr. Bailey has been excited and humbled by the journey into parenthood so far and as she eagerly awaits the arrival of her baby girl.

She is so grateful for the support and warmth she has received from the tight-knit community here in Gunnison over the past year and a half. Being a part of your lives as a veterinarian has been an honor, and she looks forward to sharing this next chapter with the you all. With this joyful news we would like to inform you that she will be reducing her hours as the belly continues to grow and will be taking maternity leave in February when the baby comes. Your understanding and well-wishes are deeply appreciated during this period. In her absence, our dedicated team at Gunnison Vet Clinic and Critter Sitters will continue to serve you and your pets as much as we can.

Thank you for entrusting in us with the health and well-being of your furry companions. We are grateful for your continued support and understanding as Dr. Bailey embarks on this wonderful journey of motherhood. Please stay tuned for updates. We look forward to introducing her little one to you when the time comes.
