💙AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION💙
ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED‼️
Meet Balto available for adoption at Guntersville Animal Hospital & Surgery Center. This boy is low key and a little shy in the shelter environment, but we're hoping that in a home he would be able to open up more easily. He is a young adult around 60 lbs and very handsome with his white/tan mixed coat. Hard to tell on the breed, probably a mix of many with possibly some Great Pyrenees? lab? husky?
Even though this sweet boy is a bit shy while in the shelter (very common behavior inside a shelter setting), he is calm, well mannered and gentle. We have no doubt that he will make a very loyal companion to a blessed adopter who gives Balto some extra patience and love.
He is heartworm negative.
Balto does not do well in confinement such as a kennel for long periods. This smartie will climb right on out.
Balto's adoption includes: Rabies and DAPP vaccine, heartworm test (NEG), annual wellness, fecal and dewormer, and a neuter to be scheduled at time of adoption.
Give Guntersville Animal Hospital & Surgery Center a call at 256-582-3184 or stop by the clinic for a visit Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm and Sat 7:30am till noon.
UPDATE: ADOPTED 1/9/25💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION‼️
Merry enjoyed an amazing time in a foster home for the holidays and is now ready for adoption.
Merry’s foster mommy says, “Miss Merry is an absolute love bug. She rides perfectly in the car and wants to be touching a person at all times.”
Merry has completed her potty training at the foster home. Merry does well with most other dogs. She is a young adult and is heartworm positive but that’s a fairly easy and successful treatment. Her treatment has been prepaid in full by a generous donor and has been started.
This girl’s name probably should be Butters because she literally melts into her person. She can’t get enough affection but her foster parents are enjoying the challenge of filling her love bucket. This girl is truly something very special. She is the most loving and cuddly dog we have ever met. Must meet her to see for yourself! Check out her super adorable one eyebrow!
One volunteer said Merry has nothing but “pure unadulterated love”. We agree!
Adoption fee is also prepaid! Adoption includes wellness exam, dewormer, rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, heartworm test (positive) and her spay!
Call 256-582-3184 or swing in to meet her at Guntersville Animal Hospital, 1609 Henry St, Guntersville. No appt necessary.
Somebody is going to be a very lucky adopter with this big ham!!
UPDATE: OFFICIALLY ADOPTED‼️💖
ONE MORE HAPPY UPDATE TO ADD TO OUR CHRISTMAS MIRACLE LIST‼️
Noelle was extremely terrified in the shelter and after being lost for a few days on the streets.
Noelle was very fortunate to find herself a foster home who understands dog behavior and stress. Her foster mommy understands how much patience is key for Noelle at this time. Noelle is receiving all that she needs and craves.
Her amazing foster mommy reports that she continues to progress and open up a little more each day. She is reported to be a very sweet dog who is trying hard to navigate all her sudden changes.
Lucky girl!!

UPDATE 12/20: ADOPTED!!!
Black dog in video is available for adoption. The gray and white dog has been adopted.
This middle aged guy is so HANDSOME! Staff named him Turkey. We estimate he is about 5 years old. He weighs 52 pounds. He is well socialized, good with (most) other dogs and walks well on a leash. He is a calm and mellow dog who likes to give kisses.
He found himself homeless after his owner passed. 🥹
Turk is heartworm positive but it’s a very treatable condition. A very special donor has prepaid for all of Turkey’s heartworm treatment! It will be done at Guntersville Animal Hospital. AND….the donor prepaid for his adoption fee too! What a tremendous life saving gift that has been so generously given!
Turkey would do best in a home with either no children or a home with older children. Turkey lived with other dogs before he became homeless. He has done ok with the other shelter dogs. If you have other pets in the home, it would be required that a meet and greet takes place between your pets and Turkey before adoption. We want to ensure a happy and easy transition for everyone involved. A home trial visit is also an option before committing.
Please swing into Guntersville Animal Hospital at 1609 Henry St, Guntersville, Al or call 256-582-3184. Mon-Fri 7:30-5:30 and Sat 7:30-12.
Adoption includes his neuter, heartworm treatment, wellness exam, dewormer, rabies vaccine and DAPP vaccine. ALL at NO charge to one very lucky adopter‼️
