Please keep in mind that fireworks will not only go off on the 4th. For us, like most of you, neighbors have been setting them off for the last few nights and likely will do so for the next few days. Bryan is a white Boxer boy with a brindle patch, about 3 1/2 years old. He was surrendered to us by a person who could no longer care for him due to his living situation.

Bryan is a one of a kind dog - his personality is huge! He is happiest when curled up next to (sometimes ON) his person. This dog lives to please; he is very sensitive and just wants your affection. Positive reinforcement goes a long way for Bryan as he is very sensitive and becomes tremendously guilty after a stern "No." He is potty trained, crate trained, and is not very vocal. Bryan is also great on the leash, making beach trips (Which he LOVES) a very pleasant experience. He is good with meeting strangers and is great around children 8yr + - he will most likely knock down a younger child. Bryan gets extremely excited when his people come home - so excited that occasionally he will jump but we are working on that. He is good other dogs after he gets to know them. Being a typical Boxer, he can get jelous when other dogs get attention, so a person who can give him a firm guidelines is needed if he goes home with other dogs.

NO CATS - we have assessed him: On the leash, he was fine with a cat as it walked by leisurely, but as soon as it ran, he wanted to chase it. No small children - he forgets he is large. Bryan is excitable and will knock them over. Occasionally he gets mouthy out of excitement, doesn't bite down, so again he would be better with older children and someone who can work with him.
