We are throwing around the idea of pulling semen on bulls this year...

The first photo of Macho, his sire is R1417 “Gunsmoke”(King Ransom's son). He placed 2nd in the 4-year-old typical this year at the convention. He has the best mindset ever even with cows in flaming heat.

The second photo is Duke, his sire is TOE Wichita. This bull has gotten every single cow he’s been with pregnant! (He’s been with 60 cows so far and is in with 25 this year). He is a very beautiful bull and passes his “look” down to his babies. Also very nice mindset on this one even out with cows in flaming heat.

The third photo is a 3-year-old, his sire is Gunsmoke too. His mama is our best cow G030 who is a Hector Daughter, all her daughters and granddaughters are AMAZING mothers. She is the mother of our huge bull calf out of Coolbeans this year. His mindset is also amazing.

IEBA’s fall meeting will be at Lime Creek October 12th @ Noon. We will have a potluck lunch with meeting after. After the meeting there will be a farm tour of lime creek’s NEW facility!

People wonder why we cut our bulls, here is one reason of many!

Everyone asks how aggressive the mamas are… well here’s a mama who would like to stomp our butts into the ground. Her calf has already been tagged. Her gritting her teeth is their warning sign to back off. Her baby was tagged yesterday.

Duke (yellow tag) and Macho (red tag) waiting at the gate last week! They are such sweet boys! Dukes first calf crop was 2023 and his babies are turning out soo chill, they just follow us around the pasture like puppy dogs! Can not wait for machos first crop this year!

Feed train in action! 🚂 🌾

Moose showing a prime example how we like our breeder bulls. Keep their girls rounded up without chasing all around, get the job done, and don’t try any funny business with us. All 4 of our breeder bulls are exactly like this. Moose is a 4 year old bull.
