Did you ever remove a thumb nail with a potato peeler? Not all of it, and not completely removed... It's sliced, and still mostly attached. Not sure what to do with that.... Just from the Midway point to the end.....I was making homemade potato salad. That's two firsts for me! Thankfully I had already cleaned stalls today, but it made blanketing a challenge. We got it done though! Me and the horses are thankful for the people who helped with blankets for everybody! Moonshine couldn't be bothered to pull her snout out of the trough, and I forgot to take Poppa's pic, but I'm sure he LOVES his blanket.

After staying in yesterday, everybody is in a funk. I've got the stalls clean and blankets ready for installation this evening. We are not supposed to get above freezing this week until Friday. Thursday we should have measurable snowfall, so I'm charging up the big camera. The ponies LOVE the snow!

When we order from Wildfork or Snake River Farms, I always keep the coolers that fit perfectly into the boxes and make winter cat houses out of them. I stuff straw between the box and the cooler, then cut a hole just big enough for them to fit in and stuff the inside with straw as well. They LOVE it! Cruise didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I think the black kitty was in there with him...
