The results from Duke’s first test freeze.

The importance of having a horse collected and froze at a reputable facility is huge.
We use Oklahoma City Equine Clinic for freezing. Being an affiliate of Select Breeders Services their quality control standards are second to none.

This is the results of Duke’s test freeze. They used 4 different extenders and then thawed and evaluated those post thaw. For future collections the semen is then frozen with the extender that works the best for Duke.

Needless to say we were excited to see 60% progressive motility on his post thaw test.

Dan Roeser & 𝐑𝐨𝐤 𝐍 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥 topped the Bridle Spectacular, Open, Intermediate and the Open Two Rein Spectacular at the Gem State Stock Horse Association’s show in Nampa! They won over $𝟕,𝟎𝟎𝟎 — now making him Sannman’s highest money earning cow horse!💰

𝐑𝐨𝐤 𝐍 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥 is owned by Rich & Jodi Carrier! Congratulations to them, Dan & their team! We are so excited for them and the success that this special gelding continues to bring to the table!

The test freeze is the first freeze performed on a stallion's semen in which SBS typically uses four different protocols as explained in this article.

Breeding Season

Breeding Season is right around the corner, and we’re here to aid in all of you and your mare’s needs. No matter if you’re breeding to one of the stallions here at the ranch, or we’re receiving semen from an outside horse, we strive to get your mare safely in foal as quick and as economical as possible. If you live close and have time, we accept haul ins, or leave her with us when she’s ready for a few days, take her home and bring her back for her first pregnancy check. We’re about making the process easy for you and your mare.
