🐾 Patient of the Month: Meet Sully! 🐾

This month, we’re celebrating Sully, a remarkable 13-year-old pup with a story as inspiring as his spirit. Born on the streets of Mexico, Sully overcame a challenging start in life thanks to a compassionate rescuer, a skilled veterinarian, and the BAJA SAFE Foundation. At just six months old, he was adopted and began his incredible journey. ✈️🐕

Sully has lived an adventurous life, traveling with his loving owner from Colorado to Michigan, to Roatan (Honduras), and now enjoying his golden years in Eagle. 🏔️ Sully’s heart is as big as his story—he adores everyone he meets, whether they’re cats, dogs, kids, or humans. His loving, snuggly nature has brought joy to countless lives. ❤️

Sully, you’re a shining example of resilience, love, and loyalty. Thank you for being such an incredible good boy and letting us be part of your journey. Let’s all give Sully a big round of applause! 👏

🎄🐾 Pet-Safe Holiday Decorating Tips from Gypsum Animal Hospital! 🐾🎄

The holidays are here, and we want to make sure your furry friends stay safe while you deck the halls. Here are some helpful tips:

🌟 Trim the Tree with TLC

Secure Christmas trees to prevent tipping.
Skip the tinsel and fragile glass ornaments.
Keep string lights and extension cords off the ground.
🍬 Skip the Snack Bowls

Keep snacks out of reach and don’t leave them unattended.
🌿 Mind the Mistletoe

Hazardous holiday plants like poinsettia, holly, mistletoe, amaryllis, and pinecones should be kept away from pets. Consider opting for artificial alternatives!
🔥 Practice Fire Safety

Use a fireplace screen to protect your pets.
Keep lit menorahs and candles out of reach or switch to flameless candles.
Keeping these tips in mind will ensure a joyful and safe holiday season for your whole family—pets included! 🐶🐱❤️

🎄🐾 Torbie’s Energy Crisis! 🐾🎄

Our mischievous Elf on the Shelf, Torbie, is at it again! This time, he raided the staff fridge and helped himself to a few too many Red Bulls. 🥤✨ Now he’s bouncing off the walls (literally), and we can’t keep up!

Is he trying to lend a helping hand or gearing up for the North Pole Olympics? Either way, we’ll be keeping a closer eye on the fridge from now on!

🎄🐾 Oh no! Torbie, our mischievous Elf on the Shelf, had a big plan this year... he tried to bring a snowman all the way back from the North Pole! ❄️⛄️ But, it looks like the snowman didn’t survive the journey – he melted before he even made it to the door! 😅

Torbie’s not giving up though—he’s already brainstorming his next big adventure. Stay tuned to see what he gets up to next! 🎅🏼✨

🎄🐾 Elf on the Shelf Trouble! 🐾🎄

It looks like our mischievous little elf, Torbie, has been up to no good again! This time, he found the cotton candy we hid in the dryer vent (we thought it was safe there!). 😲

We know the holidays can get a bit wild, but Torbie is always full of surprises, and he's clearly got a sweet tooth! 🍬🍭

Guess who's made his grand (and slightly chaotic) return? Our mischievous Elf on the Shelf, Torbie, is back in action at Gypsum Animal Hospital! 🎉He literally came in like a wrecking ball—swinging his way into the holiday season and, unfortunately, breaking one of our mugs on his dramatic arrival. ☕💔

We can't wait to see what shenanigans she gets up to next! Stay tuned for his daily adventures and share in the holiday cheer (and cleanup).

🍂 Thanksgiving Closure Announcement 🍂

We want to take a moment to express our gratitude to all of our wonderful clients and furry friends this Thanksgiving season! 🐾

Gypsum Animal Hospital will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, for Thanksgiving and also Friday, November 29th, so our team can enjoy the holiday with their loved ones. 💛

We will resume our normal hours on Monday, December 2nd. Thank you for understanding, and we wish you and your pets a safe and happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁

🐾 Patient of the Month: Meet Sophie! 🐾

This month, we're thrilled to introduce Sophie, an inspiring 12-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel! Last year, Sophie faced a challenging cancer diagnosis on her lower jaw, but thanks to the expert care of Dr. Natalie and our dedicated team, she's now cancer-free and turning 13 soon! 🎉 Her resilient spirit and zest for life brighten every room she enters.

Sophie lives each day to the fullest, showing us all the power of hope, courage, and joy. With her adorable little tongue and big, loving heart, she brings so much love and inspiration to her family and to everyone here. She may be deaf, but that doesn’t stop her from making her voice heard – whether through her sweet expressions, a loving bark, or participating in family discussions. She adores traveling, whether by car or plane, always ready for a new adventure.

Sophie, you are a true inspiration, and we're honored to be part of your journey. Join us in celebrating Sophie and her wonderful family, Lori and David, as we cheer on this amazing girl! 💖🐾

🎃 Halloween Safety Tip: Don't Be Like Clyde! 🎃

Meet Clyde, an adorable 11-year-old German Shepherd who gave us a bit of a scare this week! Clyde got into some Halloween chocolates (oops!) and had to come in so we could induce vomiting. Thankfully, his quick-thinking owner recognized the danger right away and brought him in before things got serious. Clyde is doing just fine now, but we wanted to use this as a reminder about Halloween pet safety! 🐕🍫

🍬 Keep those treats out of reach – chocolates, candy, and even certain decorations can be harmful to your pets. 👀 Monitor your pets closely – sneaky pets can get into things when you least expect it! 📞 Know when to act fast – if your pet ingests something they shouldn't, contact your vet immediately, just like Clyde's owner did!

We want to make sure all our furry friends have a fun and safe Halloween! So, don’t be like Clyde when it comes to sneaking chocolates, but be like his amazing owner who knew exactly what to do! 🧡🐾
