Miss Oreo has been at P+C since April just waiting for someone to fall in love with her. At just 10 months old, this girl has already been through a lot. Oreo came in to us as a stray, her finder and the staff at P+C noticed she would limp on her left rear leg often. Oreo was brought to the vet for x-rays, it was determined she had some sort of previous injury or trauma to her pelvis that healed poorly. Oreo had surgery performed on her hip that restricted her to kennel rest for at least a month. She has now been going through physical therapy with limitations as she heals. She's sweet as can be and has been a total angel through it all. She can't wait to find a home and become a normal active kitty again! Call 218-675-7297 for more info!🐾

Samoa has been here since March! She desperately needs a home. This girl came in with her "Girl Scout Cookie" kittens who quickly found homes. She's been patiently waiting for her turn to find a home for the last 6 months. Samoa would prefer to be the only feline in the home so she can have alllll the attention. She has briefly met dogs and did well. Call the shelter at 218-675-7297 if you think you could give this girl a home.🐾

We need your help! Our little town of Hackensack MN plans to build a fenced-in dog park. The city has enthusiastically invited us, a committee of the Game Changers of Hackensack, to build the park on .8 acres in beautiful Bonna Paulson Park two blocks east of the downtown area just past Union Church. There are already wonderful trails in the park for walking your dog on leash, however we know dogs need and love to run and play. We want to provide that for our local and visiting dogs as we are a vacation destination in northern Minnesota. We will have the first fenced-in dog park in all of Cass County and will welcome dogs and their owners from surrounding communities. Please join us in making a tax deductible donation to the Initiative Foundation to help us build the Hackensack Dog Park.
