MISSING PET

This dog went missing from her home in Onigum in the beginning of August. Kona is the bigger dog in the photo. She is a German shepherd corgi mix, about 3-4 years old. She is brown and black. Looks like a miniature German shepherd, with a corgi butt. She has 2 dew claws on one paw. Super sweet girl. She is microchipped and is possibly wearing a collar but not 100% sure. If you have seen her or know where she is, please contact the shelter at 218-675-7297, and we will do what we can to get her home!

Paving is in full swing this afternoon as the final "lift" is going on from the roundabout to Whipple Ave (The Bank). At the moment, the only crossing is at the Catholic Church/Marks Market with a pilot car so there is a wait. There is concrete being poured at Swanson's so that is not an option. We're so close to completion!!

Lakeland TV interviewed Kris Kahlson Biessener regarding the snowflakes in hackensack. At least we got some TV coverage!...

Lakeland TV interviewed Kris Kahlson Biessener regarding the snowflakes in hackensack. At least we got some TV coverage! I can't wait to return to Hackensack and see them lit up. The Hackensack Game Changers would really appreciate considering a donation to The Snowflake and Banners Team. Every dollar helps!

Halloween may be right around the corner, but an organization in Hackensack is looking to spread some wintertime cheer with the installation of snowflake lights on all lamp posts in the city.

Hackensack Dog Park

We need your help! Our little town of Hackensack MN plans to build a fenced-in dog park. The city has enthusiastically invited us, a committee of the Game Changers of Hackensack, to build the park on .8 acres in beautiful Bonna Paulson Park two blocks east of the downtown area just past Union Church. There are already wonderful trails in the park for walking your dog on leash, however we know dogs need and love to run and play. We want to provide that for our local and visiting dogs as we are a vacation destination in northern Minnesota. We will have the first fenced-in dog park in all of Cass County and will welcome dogs and their owners from surrounding communities. Please join us in making a tax deductible donation to the Initiative Foundation to help us build the Hackensack Dog Park.
