Meet Magic! Magic is a 2 year old Standard Poodle with a lot of love to give. He can be shy at first but once he gets to know you his goofy personality really shines! Magic knows “sit”, “lay down”, and “shake”. And walks nicely on leash. Magic loves to play with other dogs and would appreciate a buddy in his new home! They’re so loyal. So loving. So effortlessly woven into your life that you don’t even realize how much they shape the way you exist. A dog doesn’t make a big show of their devotion—it’s in the little things.
The way they match your pace on a walk, the way they nudge you toward the door like they know fresh air is what you need. The way they sit beside you, like your presence alone is enough to make their whole world right.

They don’t complicate things. They don’t second-guess their love. They don’t hold back in fear of getting hurt. They live and love in the moment, reminding you, without trying, that life is better when you do the same.

And maybe that’s why people with dogs move through the world differently. A little softer. A little more patient. A little more willing to believe in the good. Because when you’ve been loved by a creature who asks for nothing but your company, you start to realize maybe that’s all we ever really needed ..

Just a reminder. Every free will donation, EVERY DIME, will go to Heather and the children in support for her in the passing of her husband Dane Peterson.

Mark your calendar for next WEDNESDAY, February 19th, and get to the UCC, UNION CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, in Hackensack for a wonderful dinner of Dane's favorites. Chef extraordinaire, Tammy Lindberg, will be making chili with all the fixings, salad, cornbread and a variety of 22 homemade pies and two wacky cakes.

There will be live music in the sanctuary as well.

Gavin Peterson is donating a secret, silent auction item.

So please come support Dane's wife and children, with family, friends and community. Hope to see you there.

Our community is still reeling from the sudden death of Dane Peterson, leaving a wife and three young children to deal with such a devastating and life changing loss.

As you know, we at Union Congregational Church (UCC) in Hackensack have a monthly fundraising meal.

Our February meal will be honoring the life of Dane, with all proceeds going to his wife, Heather, and the kids.

To all our Hackensack and neighboring Community friends, please mark your calendar and come have dinner at the UCC in Hackensack between 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. , Wednesday, February 19, in honor of Dane peterson. This tragic death has taken our community to our knees and we're making all the Goodwill offerings available to Heather and her children.

Tammy's making chili, cornbread, salad, and a bunch of Dane's favorite desserts! We truly hope to see you there and make this event want to remember!

We need your help! Our little town of Hackensack MN plans to build a fenced-in dog park. The city has enthusiastically invited us, a committee of the Game Changers of Hackensack, to build the park on .8 acres in beautiful Bonna Paulson Park two blocks east of the downtown area just past Union Church. There are already wonderful trails in the park for walking your dog on leash, however we know dogs need and love to run and play. We want to provide that for our local and visiting dogs as we are a vacation destination in northern Minnesota. We will have the first fenced-in dog park in all of Cass County and will welcome dogs and their owners from surrounding communities. Please join us in making a tax deductible donation to the Initiative Foundation to help us build the Hackensack Dog Park.
