Well gang, we have a favor to ask. Our major p**p Patrol volunteer is now going to be Mia for a few months. Thanks to a fractured tibial plateau, and fractures in both the left and right wrist, I'm going to ask you to please step up to the plate and keep our dog park free of p**p. Our Hackensack dog park is so wonderful and such an asset, so a little bit more diligence is asked at this time. Feel free to post on the page if we need more p**p bags or emptying of the bins. I was looking forward to this winter, but other things seem to be taking up my time right now. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

PET OF THE WEEK🐾

Teenie needs a home! She's pretty adorable and we don't understand how she hasn't been spoken for yet! Teenie came in with two other kittens that were adopted a while ago. She will be spayed, microchipped, FeLV/FIV/HW tested, and vaccinated to age prior to adoption. She is super social and loves other felines, people, and snuggles all around! Meet Coral! Coral is a 6 month old Shepherd mix that arrived to P+C as a stray about a month ago. She has been so friendly with all the staff here and is very polite meeting new people. Coral has met kids, the office cat, and other dogs here in shelter and is friendly with everybody! This happy-go-lucky girl is ready to take on the world with her new humans! Hackensack Dog Park

We need your help! Our little town of Hackensack MN plans to build a fenced-in dog park. The city has enthusiastically invited us, a committee of the Game Changers of Hackensack, to build the park on .8 acres in beautiful Bonna Paulson Park two blocks east of the downtown area just past Union Church. There are already wonderful trails in the park for walking your dog on leash, however we know dogs need and love to run and play. We want to provide that for our local and visiting dogs as we are a vacation destination in northern Minnesota. We will have the first fenced-in dog park in all of Cass County and will welcome dogs and their owners from surrounding communities. Please join us in making a tax deductible donation to the Initiative Foundation to help us build the Hackensack Dog Park.
