Here he is! Still looking for that forever home! Tucker is still on the search for a family. For the first time in his entire history of being available for adoption he got 4 applications! We processed them and upon doing so each application ghosted him and never answered back. Leaving Tucker right back at square one. He was adopted, but now is back looking for that special family. He was the only one in his litter originally that never had any interest. We would love to see Tucker find his place. Tucker is a 7-8 month old lab/shepherd mix. He is filled with energy. He loves to be involved in things and investigating anything he possibly can. He loves to explore whats around him. Tucker loves to play and would make a great hiking partner. He would make a great family dog for an active family looking for an adventure partner. He is good with other dogs and kids. He has not been with cats in his fosters while up in NJ. Ok so after wasting 4 hours of my life fielding 50 messages, answering posts and checking applications for Sixx, the owner decided her aunt was going to take the dog.
With that being said let me rant a bit. A cute french bulldog gets posted and everyone wants them. My two long term fosters have been waiting a long time for a family. No they are not a designer dog. No they are not cute and fluffy. No they are not small. But they are good dogs. Our rescue takes the misfits, those that would have been killed rather than adopted by animal control. Case in which the family can no longer keep for reasons unknown to me. I am not going to fail these 2 dogs. Do you know a 7 year old dog got adopted in 1 week as these guys sit here.
Not all dogs come in cute packages, but all dogs are looking for the same love and devotion and willing to give you their best.

Hi everyone! It’s Laura. My current foster is Carson. He is a 7 year old child mix. He was surrendered back to us on Sunday. Well in 3 days, he has opened up a lot. He loves laps and snuggles. He got along with my crew just fine. The young ones he is not fond of but no aggression. He is housebroken. Crate trained but does not like it at all. He will take a day or 2 to come out of his shell. He sleeps all curled up next to me at night. It would be best for him to be in a home where someone is around as he was crated a lot in his previous home. As for children, he came from a home with a 2 and 4 yr old so I can’t say how he would be. (Remember crated a lot). He has a little foray on his face but I say he is aging beautifully.
Please share to find this little man a home. I don’t want to transition him too much as he really came into his own here.

Adoption Event Update:

Due to weather conditions that the transport truck would be experiencing while bringing the pups, the event date has been changed for the safety of the pups and transporters. The event is being moved from Saturday 1/11 to Sunday 1/12. The adoption event is now Sunday 1/12 from 10am-4pm at our adoption center in Hackensack, NJ.

Here we are again. Another post hoping to find Tucker a forever family with no luck! 2 apps he got and was surpassed for other dogs without even being given the chance. No one even wanted to take the time to meet him. Time and time again he is passed up. Look at this gorgeous guy. Someone has to be willing to give him a chance. Tucker was looking for a forever home a few months back. He was adopted for a few weeks, but now is back looking for that special family. He has spent most of his life in foster care looking for a forever home. He was the only one in his litter originally that never had any interest. He has had 2 people interested in him in the 5 months he was available for adoption. Just 2 people. All other puppies have had so many people interested, but not Tucker. It could be because of his color. Everyone looks past a black dog. Tucker is another pup to that statistic unfortunately. We would love to see Tucker find his place. You all know the saying “when it rains it pours”
Tilly formerly known as Bugs is coming back to rescue. NEED FOSTER or ADOPTER

She is a very sweet girl, crate-trained. She is a mix but mostly Belgian Malinois. She is an excited pee-er but we have been trying to work on that with her. She is up to date on all her shots and has been spayed. She is good with my children (1, 4 and 7) and is very playful with other dogs. She is very food-motivated and knows “sit”, we have been working on other commands but she has not mastered those yet. She loves her walks and has recently become interested in fetch.

Please no negative comments. It’s bad enough she needs to find a new home. 🐾

We very rarely ask for much. But we need your help. Tux was adopted 8 days ago. He is at the emergency vet as we speak and crashing. His hemoglobin is 4. I requested to take over his care and bills as the new owners are besides themselves right now. We don’t know how long he will be then as diagnostic are being done, blood transfusions, and icu stabilization. If anyone can please donate to his care we would be forever grateful. Alice still doesn’t have any applications! Her foster mom says she is an absolute awesome dog. She is filled with life and personality. She has so much confidence and determination to accomplish all. Alice has started life really rough but that doesn’t break her spirits. She was found living on a dirty mattress on the side of the road and brought to animal control with a sever injury to her leg. Her leg was cut up from a trap so badly that it had to be amputated. She has now recovered and has not held a grudge towards anyone for the way she was treated. She just wants love and a place to settle in.
