Lane, now known as Benelli, was adopted! Here is a quick update from his adopter:
"Sending a quick update on Benelli (Lane)! He is adapting to his new home quite well. He has been able to get a few pup cups at Gordy’s, hike at Jay Cooke, run wild at our cabin, and spend some time at Camping World getting treats from the staff & lots of love from kids at the store. He also made it on Fox 21 on Sunday night! So glad I got to bring this sweet boy home, he’s the best! Thank you for everything. ❤️"

Ruby is a gentle girl who is very scared. She has been doing amazing in foster and but got spooked this morning on a walk and bolted, leash attached. She went missing east of Godfreys off the Big Portage Access Rd.

FORGET ME NOT FRIDAY🩷
Cupid is wondering why no one has came to scoop her up yet?! Cupid came to the shelter as a stray at the beginning of February. She is a 10 month old pup with plenty of energy! She would make a fabulous running/hiking partner for someone. We don't know if she has been introduced to cats or kids. Cupid is a very intelligent dog and would love a job to do. DOG OF THE DAY🐶
Namora came to the shelter as a stray so we don't know much of her history. She was very friendly and tolerant at intake. She appears to have a high prey drive so we are thinking she may do best in a home without cats, but we can't say for sure. Namora is fantastic with other dogs and loves to play. She tends to show puppy like behaviors (jumping, mouthy, no boundaries) so will need a home willing to guide her on how to be a well mannered pup. PET OF THE WEEK🐾
Popeye came to the shelter as a stray, he was found with another dog who has since been adopted. We don't know much about his past. Popeye is overly excitable and will need an adopter that can teach him boundaries and basic manners. We are unsure if he has ever been introduced to cats or kids. He has done well in playgroup but does seem to have a more dominant attitude towards other dogs which some dogs may not appreciate. Popeye walks nicely on leash and did well with crate testing during his evaluation. His goofy personality and adorable face will totally win you over! MEET THE TEAM MONDAY👋
Meet Nikki! Nik started working at P+C in October of 2021 as an Animal Support Specialist. She's now office support and helps with adoptions, intakes, phones and much more! Nik is fantastic with the animals and is always so kind-hearted. She adopted her puppy, Ava (pictured on the right), from the shelter shortly after starting here. She also has a cat, Poe-Poe and Ava are clearly the best of friends!
Nik's current favorite shelter pet is Milo (Pictured 1st with Nikki). Milo is a 4 year old boxer mix that falls in love with everyone he meets. Milo is wonderful with other dogs and has great house manners. He would be happy just snuggled up, napping next to his human's all day long!🐾

Ollie’s favorite activities include sun bathing, snuggling, cuddling, napping and getting belly rubs.🩷 He is the sweetest, friendliest, most easygoing cat. Dyson is the last of the “vacuum” puppies to find a home.😢 Dyson came to P+C at the beginning of September, since then he’s been working on growing into his ears! He is a 4mo Lab/Rough Collie mix. Dyson is in a puppy stage where socialization and getting out in the world is crucial. We hate seeing puppies grow up in shelter, it’s not ideal. Besides, he’s at his cutest right now! All of her kittens have been adopted so now it’s time for her to find her fur-ever home. Gypsy is looking for a quiet home to take her in, she seems to get overlooked in shelter due to how shy and reserved she is. She truly enjoys affection from staff and does well in the colony with other felines. Her favorite activities include, napping, making biscuits and being absolutely adorable!
