Unfortunately, we have had a setback with our garter babies. Many of them have started to show a slight change in movement near their tails, and we have confirmed that this is due to a very mild lateral kinking of the spine. This has not affected their ability to eat, move or explore, or live normal lives, and they are all doing wonderfully otherwise. However, we do not want to potentially pass this on if it is genetic, so they will be heading out as pet only, same s*x pairs. Please PM if you have more questions about these babies.

Meet the newest additions to the Boxcar Exotics family: Dairy cow isopods! These cute little critters are a species of terrestrial crustacean and they make a great recycling crew for many of our snakes sheds! #isopod #isopods #isopodsofinstagram #dairycowisopod #snakeshed

Both our checkered girls had their babies within a couple days of each other, so we've been quite busy! Unfortunately, breeding doesn't always work out the way we hope. CowTale had 25 babies! However 8 of those babies have severe kinking of their tails. Worm had 10 babies, 5 of which were stillborn. The other 5 also have severe kinking in their tails. Thankfully, both mamas are doing very well and most of the babies have started eating. More pictures and updates to come.
