We are so honored to have won Large Nonprofit of the Year! We are grateful to serve our community alongside so many amazing organizations, and we couldn't do it without your support!

Our February Volunteer of the Month is Maeve! Maeve has been a volunteer for a whole three-and-a-half years, and she is an incredibly valuable team-player. She started out as a rider and decided to become a volunteer on the side to work more closely with horses. She didn't realize that volunteering would also introduce her to many new people, which she loves. Her favorite part of volunteering is watching riders grow their skills and independence. Thank you Maeve for being an incredible volunteer!

Do you own a horse who would enjoy being loved and cherished by our staff and riders? We are looking for our next equine partners for our therapeutic riding programs! Fill out an application here: https://forms.office.com/r/jeRrZuVzmL

We are open to purchasing or leasing (leases must be willing to do a 90-day trial and must be willing to lease for at least 2 years, and PPEs are a must for purchasing). Qualifications for horses are as follows:

• Over 10 years old
• Between 14.3-16 hands
• Strong confirmation
• Up-to-date on vaccinations and current Coggins
• Quiet and non-reactive to stimulants such as yoga balls, pool noodles and tarps
• Experienced with beginner/young riders
• See application for additional requirements

Our January Volunteer of the Month is Mary! Mary started riding at Star over the summer, and she loved it so much that she also became a volunteer. Mary loves our Center for, "the people, the horses, and the cats!", and we can't blame her. Thank you Mary for putting in a substantial amount of volunteer hours in only half a year!

We want to thank Warm Springs Middle School for inviting us out to talk to members of their Animal Club! We were able to teach the kids about what goes into caring for farm animals and the skills needed to do it. Thanks for having us out!

We are so incredibly thankful for the generosity of D.M. Bowman Inc. and the Jone L. Bowman Family Foundation!

Our Military Veteran trucks drove 25,582 miles during the month of November. D.M. Bowman Inc. and the Jone L. Bowman Family Foundation will be donating $25,582 to Star Therapeutic Equestrian Center. We are honored to once again be able to donate to this worthy cause!
