Mu was the cutest little piggy, and is quickly turning into a big pig. She will always be my Baby Girl. It’s important to each and every pig that they are recognized as the special Beings they are. I wish that one day every pig on this planet will have that same recognition and be loved and cherished.

I’m so fortunate to have jobs working with animals! Here I am at Leilani Farm Sanctuary, where I work as a tour guide, with Jakey, who’s such a mellow guy enjoying his amazing life at the sanctuary. I often find him sprawled out on his back, belly exposed to the sky. He is so content and relaxed in the paradise he lives in. ❤️

Volunteers needed! I could really use some help around here. For instance, carrying feed bags. I weigh 100 pounds and carry 50 pound bags of feed. I transport these bags along with bales of straw and hay to the sanctuary from my parking space which is quite a ways away. This is just the beginning of things that need to be done around here. We need fence repair, trimming branches (chainsaw would be so helpful!) scrubbing out water dishes, moving old bedding and adding new bedding, etc. If you can give any time, it would be much appreciated.🙏❤️

Today Leighton took up the whole big cat bed, so Mauka took the little one. He wasn’t very happy about it. I’ll have to switch it out for another big bed for him. 😂💗💕

Leighton is such an affectionate lovebug. He preferred to snuggle up with Mauka instead of resting in the nearby cat bed alone.

💗Mu as a tiny piglet. ❤️🥰🐷She was rescued after being attacked by a dog. Fortunately her injuries were minor and she recovered just fine at the sanctuary, where she’s been ever since. Mu is 2 now. Update on the disabled hen I rescued the other day. She saw Dr. Alan Kaufman and after a thorough examination, he diagnosed her leg as being nearly dead and his prognosis was that it may even fall off. There was hardly any blood flow to her leg, it was cold, and he suspected that somehow an artery had been severed. So unfortunately, we won’t be able to do anything for this sweet girl’s leg. 😥💔 He also told me that the hard bald spot on top of her head was a de-scalping injury. 😳Which could’ve happened in a number of ways, like getting stuck in a fence. 😭😫

I’m so glad that she’s here now with us and she’s hanging out with Zingo, our senior duck who enjoys spending her time alone away from the younger male ducks who tend to hump her. So it’s actually perfect for me to enclose both of these girls into a space where they can be safe and happy together. They get along really well together too. It’s perfect. 🙏🐓🦆💕
