The Farm horses were good these last two weeks at the Woodside Summer Classic Horse shows. Several of the mares we keep for our breeding program as embryo donors (Sonata BF, Elsa BF, Linda BF, and Olivia BF) and both our young stallions (Emerelo BF and Valentino BF) as well as two promising 4 year old youngsters in the sales group Tadeo BF and Weston OMR demonstrated that breeding in the USA continue to progress here in Northern California.

Six year old Valentino BF claims another 3’6” Green Hunter Championship this time at the Woodside Summer Classic II. Expertly shown by Jill Humphrey.

Introducing our 5 yr old stallion Emerelo BF (Emerald van’t Ruytershof - Tangelo v d Zuuthoeve ) in today’s Young Jumper 1.20m class at Woodside Summer Classic with Ivy Creahan. Still very underdeveloped physically and quite inexperienced so we are only showing him very lightly. Just moving up once or twice to 1.20m as prep for the fall YJC Championships. A bit of a Mr. Toad’s wild ride but Ivy is giving him a confident experience and he seems to enjoy the challenge is improving every time he goes out.

A few people asked me recently about Pixel BF (the now 3yr old mare by J-Nius VV Z) I imported as a weanling. She grew up into a big girl and is now starting her groundwork in preparation for probably being backed and ridden very lightly this summer. Got to love those spots!

Two lovely Branscomb Farm horses looking for their next homes. Rebelito BF (lower right) is a 5 year old green jumper/eventing/equitation prospect with a couple of decent shows under his girth - low-mid five figures. Queenatella - 9yr mare used for breeding so still a little bit green but demonstrating she can be a really brave and competitive 1.10-1.20m Jr/A/O type - make offer in mid 5 figures. In barn leases or lease options open for discussion.
