What a week...HDS riders & ponies where just awesome all week and here are some highlights 🤗
- Kayla S. and Etoile (Casper) made their show debut and earned a Reserve Champion in the .65m Modified JR/AM jumpers & .65m jumpers plus top ribbons in the .75m classes! 🥈 Big shout out to Tammy for all her coaching & expertise!
- Erica & Diplomat (Demi) entered the show ring for the first time together, looked great and where Champion in the Pre Adult Hunters! 🥇
- Halle was home on a short break and decided to do a little showing with Iconic (Roman)...turned out to be a good decision as they where Champion in the Child/Adult Eq 2' and Reserve Champion in the Pre Adult Hunters...Congratulations! 🏅🥈
- For the second time ...Kayla M. and Guiness had beautiful trips and earned Champion in the Child/Adult Special Hunters 2'3"! Congratulations!🏅
- Al lee and Dupree won every flat class and this young horse just keeps getting better and better over fences! 👏👏
- Louis (Silver Surfer) was just a little champ...another young horse who has given everything he has...Louis & Gianna earned some great ribbons in a competitive Child/Adult Special Hunters. Riley and Louis took a big step forward and they were rewarded with 2nd & 5th over fences and 3rd US in a large Pre Children Hunter 2' division! Well done! 🔥
- Khloe & Iconic (Roman) have been working hard together and it paid off! This pair won 1st OF and 4th US in the Pre Children's Hunter! Congratulations! 🔥
- Emily & Soldado earned a 3rd OF in the Child/Adult Special Hunters and had a beautiful ride in the Child/Adult Hunter Derby! Love watching this pair! 👏👏
- Nicole & Guiness moved up to the 3' Open Hunter Derby and earned some top scores just missing out of the top 12...Guiness is starting to enjoy the derby field! 👏👏Big shout out to Rachel for all her help!

Highlights from a very fun Head of the Bay Classic...so proud of our riders..their hard work continues to pay off...

Emily & Baxter, Ryan & Casper, and Nicole & Guiness had very successful hunter derbies...even though some of us may need to practice our victory gallops 😉; Al lee & Dupree earned a 3rd place over fences in a competitive Pre Adult Hunter division; Khloe & Roman moved up a division and had some lovely trips earning a 3rd place over fences in a large open 2'3" division and Christine & Demi put in beautiful trips and won top ribbons in her Pre Adult Hunter classes. 👏👏👏

Another successful derby debut! Ryan Floyd & Etoile killed it in the 2'3”/2'6" derby bringing in a 12th in a class of 40! What a summer these two are having...better and better at every show! 🎉❤️👏

Our horses are nothing without their shoes, thank you Tom Hill for all that you do for us!

It's National Farriers Week! Let's celebrate the hard work that our farriers put in daily to partner with equine veterinarians and ensure the health and well-being of our horses. Proper hoof care is essential for a sound and happy horse, so it goes without saying that a skilled farrier is both a necessity and a tremendous asset.

Don't forget to give a shoutout to your farriers this week and show them your appreciation for their dedication to their craft!

Our riders and their partners did not disappoint this week! Big shout out to everyone who helped & supported us during the NHHJA Summer Festival horse show! Special thanks to Lauren and Keira for all their hard work behind the scenes caring for our horses :)

Here are some highlights from the week!

Khloe Kenerson and Iconic (Roman) earned Reserve Champion in the Pre Children Hunters and earned a 1st & 5th (out of 28) in the Schooling Hunters! These two just keep getting better & better! 🔥

Christine Mays and Diplomat (Demi) moved up to Pre Adult Hunter and were Reserve Champions!! Christine's hard work paid off!🔥

Sue Barrett and Diplomat (Demi) stepped into the derby field and earned an 82 in the $1000 Midnight Lady Modified Hunter Derby which landed them in 2nd Place! 🥈

Emily Kelleher and Soldado (Baxter) earned a 1st, 5th & 6th (out of 20) with beautiful trips in Modified Adult Equitation! They came back and earned 4th & 8th (out of 19) in the Modified Adult Amateur Hunters! 🔥👏

Riley Giasullo and Silver Surfer (Louis) made their showing debut together and put down some lovely trips...can't wait to see these two grow together 🤗

Al lee Bilek and Dupree won the hack in a very large Schooling Hunter class and earned an 8th in the $500 2' Hunter Classic! This young horse just keeps improving every show! 🤗

Ryan Floyd and Etoile (Casper) earned top ribbons in the very large Modified Adult Hunters and earned a 6th in the Outreach Festival 2'6" Equitation U/S...Job well done! 🤗

Today Sue Barrett checked off an item on her bucket list by completing a Hunter Derby...but she did more than just check it off her list...Sue and Diplomat (Demi) scored an 82 which earned them a 2nd out of a class of 39 in the NHHJA Midnight Lady Modified Hunter Derby! Congratulations! What a beautiful a trip! 🔥👏🤗❤️

Congratulations to Sue & Demi for their Reserve Champion in USHJA Hunter 2'3"; Kayla & Guiness are back in the show ring & earned all top ribbons in their division; and Khloe & Roman entered the show ring together for the first time...after the nerves calmed down they put together some lovely trips earning a 6th in a large competitive class 🐴❤️

We are so excited to welcome Rachel Clawson Sherer to Hudson Derby Stables! Rachel has been in the equine industry professionally for over 15 years. Growing up at Fieldstone she has gained knowledge from so many top professionals in the sport...Peter Wylde, John & Bezzie Madden, Tommy & Amber Harte, and Scott Stewart just to name a few. She has competed at the Winter Equestrian Festival to Derby Finals and up and down the east coast.

Rachel will be focusing on gymnastics/flat lessons through clinics or individual sessions offered once a week...her overall knowledge and experiences will be another important piece to help our riders achieve their riding goals. 🐴😊☀️

Recently imported, 6 yr old mare by the famous hunter Sandstone. Beautiful, hack, winning movement, huge stride, endless scope, perfect changes and lovely jump.. Will be the next famous small junior. Fieldstone wk 2... Weather wasn't the best but we still had some great trips, riding, and ribbons! Big shout out to our "baby" horses who couldn't have been better and riders that entered the show ring for the first time in years! Lots of appreciation to our clients who came out to support their fellow riders and to our staff that made it all look so easy... We can't wait till June! 🐴🎉🤗
