This weekend we were honored to be a part of The Redemption Story Texas. It was held at the site of the plane crash in Yoakum Texas. We are so grateful to Scott and Amy Wakefield and their boys for helping with the petting zoo while Valmon continues to heal from his hospital stay. We would also like to thank the Don G Kasper Foundation for their generous support of the Family fun zone. We were blessed to have 400 God loving visitors from Memphis, TN here praying at this powerful tent revival. We pray everyone has safe travels back to their homes.

Do you long for a quiet country living surrounded by animals? We are accepting applications for our 33 ft travel trailer with living room slide out. Rent is free in exchange for part-time help with our petting zoo animals and carriage horses. Here are the details

Edited to add - there is no official application. To apply please send me a message here or email the business account. Include a little about yourself, your experience with animals, and why you would be a good fit for the job. I will be accepting applications through next week.

1. The trailer, electric, water, and trash are included. You are responsible for the rest such as your own food, propane, Internet, and cell phone.
2. In exchange for rent, you will work 65 hours per month (we are happy to work with your schedule to figure out times that work for both of us. You do not need to work here everyday)
3. During busy times of the year we will pay you hourly for any extra time you choose to work.
4. Maximum occupancy of 2 people.
5. Applicants must have an additional source of income (a job, retirement income, disability, anything that will pay for you to cover your bills), a vehicle, and a driver's license.
6. Due to open water ponds, livestock, and exotic animals on the premises absolutely no children under 12.
7. Parking available for an additional livestock, horse, or work trailer if you want to bring one.
8. Pasture board available for 1 horse (mare or gelding only) for an additional 18 hours of work per month.

Day 2 of Christmas in Downtown Cuero was damp but fun. Baxter Black gave camel kisses to everyone who would accept one while the goats frolicked festooned in their festive finery. I enjoyed jingling all the way through the petting zoo in the new elf costume I sewed. It was a great event and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Yesterday's rain cleared up just in time for the Christmas in Downtown Cuero celebration. It's happening again today. The petting zoo will be open from noon to 8 pm. Also be sure to stop by our Texas sleigh (next to Santa's house) to get a great photo opportunity.

We are sad to announce that A Night in Bethlehem in Hondo, TX has been cancelled this year. If anyone needs a petting zoo or live Nativity animals this Friday or Saturday we are available.

We are very sad to say this years “ANIB” has been cancelled due to high probabilities of rain on both nights. With live animals and handmade sets/props we don’t want to risk potential destruction of all the hard work that has been put into making this event so special and beautiful. We hope to see you in the future. Merry CHRISTmas!

The Christmas season kicked off this weekend with the Festival of Lights in Hallettsville. Santa Goat pulled the Sleigh again this year while the petting zoo animals nibbled snacks and gave camel kisses.

We enjoyed seeing so many of you last night at the Fall Festival at the Church of Christ on Airline Dr. If you missed us last night or had so much fun you want to do it again. We will be at Northside Baptist Church this evening from 6 - 8 pm (weather permitting of course).
