*Outdoor drop in Conformation class being offered*

We will be offering 3 weeks of an outdoor DROP IN conformation class (WEATHER PERMITTING). Classes will run on Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on 8/13, 8/20 & 8/27. We will be accepting CASH ONLY $12 the night of class, no pre registration required. You will meet in the south east corner of the parking lot.

This is a great opportunity to practice outside for those outdoor shows!

Mind Your Manners Level 2, five week class. Instructor: Diane Clyne This class is a continuation of our Mind Your Manners 1 class where we will expand and fine-tune your dogs obedience skills to form good manners at home and out in the public.
*Attention and Focus
* Walking on a loose leash inside and outside
* Come when called on and off leash
* Basic Obedience commands sit, down, stay, wait
*No jumping on other people, children or lunging at other dogs *Sitting politely for petting when being greeted by strangers.
All the skills you need for a well behaved dog.
**PREREQUISITE: Mind Your Manners Level 1 or instructor approval.

Little update from OTR. The crew has arrived to start the installation of the new artificial turf that is being laid in the Agility Gym. Tomorrow the turf arrives and they will start to install it. Stay tuned… More updates to come. 😁

On the Run Mock Trial Info!!!

We have been getting some questions on how to find the times and run orders for the Mock Trial. You need to CLICK on the latest trial flyer post below then scroll down and click on the discussions tab. Here you will find updated posts about the event and times and run orders for all classes other than agility. For agility we will be utilizing the Agility Gate app. Once we are given a code we will post it in the group so you can see the run order within the app. If you do not have the app you will need to go to your app store and download it.

Due to overwhelming interest in the event we have changed the start time to 10am to accommodate all the runs!

Come join us for some fun at our “Fun”d the Floor event! We are offering several mock trials for you to test your skills in a trial environment without the stress of being in a real trial. Even if you have not seen any of these events before come and watch some of our students and learn what they are all about! We will also be offering a great raffle and $10 nail trims, something for everyone! This course is designed to help your dog learn proper manners, impulse control and focus. Specific exercises include crate manners and polite greetings as well adding distractions to prior learned behaviors such as recalls.

Are you embarrassed to have guests over because of your unruly dog?
Is your arm sore from your dog pulling you to say "Hi!" to every passing person?

Loose Leash Walkin’ is back!! New session starts on Thursday 1/11/24 at 7:15pm.

Is walking your dog on leash for any distance a difficult task? Is he/she pulling your arm out of it's socket? This class will help you train your dog to walk loosely on a leash. If weather permits, we will work the skills outside as well.
NOTE: Come to class with whatever collar/Gentle Leader that you have been using. If you use a harness, only front clip no-pull style harnesses should be used for this class.

Things you need for the first class:

Your dog's favorite toy (no squeaky toys or loose balls please)
Soft treats - bring a lot!!!!
4'-6' leash - (no retractable leashes)

Prerequisite: Must have completed Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Obedience session.

READY, SET….let’s learn some new tricks in the new 4 weeks Tricks class for beginners

Let’s start out with simple tricks like shake hands, high 5, spin in a circle, get in a box and crawl. Then let’s add roll over, ring a bell, sit pretty, touch, turn on a lamp or balance on the wobble board plus more. The choices of tricks are endless. Pick your own trick and we’ll work on it in class together. On the 4th week your dog will take the Novice trick dog test for their Akc trick title.

Benefits of trick training include building a lifetime bond with your dog, increase their confidence, provide both physical and mental exercise that the whole family can join in teaching tricks to your dog. Kids and teenagers love to show off their super smart buddy to their friends with their latest trick.

The 4 week class starts Tuesday July 25 at 1:15 p.m. with instructor Diane Clyne, Akc trick evaluator

New Mind your Manners class being offered!

Mind Your Manners Level 1 starting Tuesday, May 2nd at 1:15 pm. Instructor: Diane Clyne.

Canine Good Citizen class starting Tuesday, May 23rd at 11:45 a.m. Openings available!

This class is designed to teach your dog good manners and to help them pass the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen test. You will learn how to teach your dog to greet other people and dogs politely, develop tolerance to being handled by a stranger, react to distractions in a calm manner, be relaxed while separated from you, and much more!

The class is taught by Diane Clyne, an AKC evaluator. A test will be given the last night of class. Those dogs passing the test can then apply for the AKC CGC title. If you are interested in doing therapy work with your dog, this is a great class for you.

Do you dream of a dog who has polite manners in public, walks on a loose leash, lies down on command and stays in place no matter what the distractions are around them? Then this is the class you’re looking for.
