Exciting news for puppy owners! We are offering a new Puppy Foundation Obedience class forpuppies 13 weeks to eight months of age (10 months for toy breeds). This is for puppies who have completed a puppy kindergarten class and are ready to take the next step to becoming a well mannered young dog. This class starts Tuesday, January 28 at 1:15 pm in the obedience training room.

The secret to teaching your puppy to being a well behaved adult dog are the foundation skills you teach them at this young moldable age. In this class we’ll focus on positive motivation, praise, play and treat rewards while building focus and attention. Loose leash walking, sitting politely for petting, impulse control, stays at open doors, home and public manners and Socializing with other puppies.

Assistance for issues you’re working on at home, such as housebreaking, jumping on people, crate training, chewing. Bring your questions to class!

This is a great class to give your pup a head start before moving to a Basic Obedience class.

New Mind Your Manners level 1 class starting Tuesday, September 10th at 2:30pm.

This course is designed to help your dog learn proper manners, impulse control and focus. Specific exercises include crate manners and polite greetings as well adding distractions to prior learned behaviors such as recalls.

Does your dog think sniffing the ground is more important than a timely recall?
Are you embarrassed to have guests over because of your unruly dog?
Is your arm sore from your dog pulling you to say "Hi!" to every passing person?
Prerequisite: completed Basic Obedience or Instructor approval.

*Outdoor drop in Conformation class being offered*

We will be offering 3 weeks of an outdoor DROP IN conformation class (WEATHER PERMITTING). Classes will run on Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on 8/13, 8/20 & 8/27. We will be accepting CASH ONLY $12 the night of class, no pre registration required. You will meet in the south east corner of the parking lot.

This is a great opportunity to practice outside for those outdoor shows!

Mind Your Manners Level 2, five week class. Instructor: Diane Clyne This class is a continuation of our Mind Your Manners 1 class where we will expand and fine-tune your dogs obedience skills to form good manners at home and out in the public.
*Attention and Focus
* Walking on a loose leash inside and outside
* Come when called on and off leash
* Basic Obedience commands sit, down, stay, wait
*No jumping on other people, children or lunging at other dogs *Sitting politely for petting when being greeted by strangers.
All the skills you need for a well behaved dog.
**PREREQUISITE: Mind Your Manners Level 1 or instructor approval.
Start date Tuesday July 30, 2:30 pm.
