Painted the door logo.

I went with Long Dog Kennels because I like the animated silhouette of the dog. I have 4 dachshunds and had many puppies in the past, so there is a personal side to it.

When the paint has cured, I will lightly wet sand it and then add some "aging" to the doors.

It takes a lot of back and forth painting the way i do, but I think it looks more like what I want with each step.

Now I have to figure out the doors, and wet sand the black hood.

Still painting.

I used a paint brush and painted gun metal, then aged iron on spots I wanted heavy rust. Then I painted a dark brown flat paint. Now I am swirling dried rust (orange) with aged iron and using a sponge to pat paint on more sparsely.

I still have more to do, but progress has been made.

I started the sanding.

The main body, plum crazy, is supposed to end up looking like it was an old faded field truck. I used water and salt grains to create the pitted look followed by sanding down to the white paint.

The doors are supposed to look like they came off a work truck and will have a faded logo on them, as soon as I figure out the logo name. These I have sanded less, and used less salt grains so they look like upgrades from whatever the purples might have been.

The red fender I primed separately in gray. Then I used a glue stick before the red. This way it looks like the red paint has peeled off from an improper paint job years ago.

And then the hood is black to look like it has already been worked. I may dab a little "rust" on the top as primer doesn't keep moisture out.

Having a little fun with the shifter. I have done skulls dice and round shifter k***s, so I wanted to do something a bit different this time. I wanted "Rat Finkish" so I made a bazaar speed zombie.

I like it, and it is unique.

It is all about fun.

Between working on detail parts for this ol' Dodge, i managed to lay the last layer of primer on the outside, and a coat of black on the inside.

I had to mock it up just to look at it. I am excited to see it finished. I hope plum crazy was the right color.

I know my scale garage doesn't quite show the colors well, but here are the floor, dash and doors weathered. There is a mix of metalics, shades, washes and paint that gives it a 3 dimensional look in person.
