🍂🦃 We typically recommend keeping your pet's diet consistent, but
if your furry friend is giving you those “I helped cook” eyes this Thanksgiving, here’s a dog-safe Turkey Apple Omelet they can enjoy right along with your holiday feast!
Ingredients:
1 egg
1/2 cup cooked plain lean turkey (no skin, no seasoning, no fat)
1/4 cup finely diced apple (no skin, seeds, or apple cores)
1 tbsp mashed sweet potato or pumpkin puree
How to make:
1. In a pan, cook the turkey over medium heat until fully browned and cooked through.
2. Whisk the egg in a bowl.
3. Fold in turkey, apple, and sweet potato.
4. Then, using a non-stick pan to avoid the need for butter or oil, cook the solution on low like a mini omelet!
5. Let cool 🥚🍎🦃
This recipe should make about .75-1 cups of food. If you are using this as a meal topper or a snack the recommended amounts by size are:
🧡 Small (under 20 pounds): 1/4 cup
💛 Medium (20-50 pounds): 1/3 cup
🧡 Large (50 -75 pounds): 3/4
💛 X-Large (75+ pounds): 1 cup
🧡 Cats: 1 tablespoon, but likely would prefer just a small amount of plain turkey.
Because Thanksgiving isn’t just about the food—it’s about sharing the love (and safe snacks!) with the ones who make every day a little brighter. 🤎🐾
