This tiny cutie is Persephone. She is almost 10 months old. Persephone is a shy kitten who would do best in a quiet home with a friendly cat buddy. She is VERY food motivated, and a great tool to earn her trust. If you believe you have a patient hand to win over her love it will be worth the work. Meet Dee Dee & Dexter. They came to Heart together and are a bonded pair so they must go home together. Dee Dee & Dexter are just over a year old. They’re little sweethearts. They purr with pets and will headbutt your hand for attention. However, the busier pace of the center is a little overwhelming for them. They would love a home to call their own. Most days in rescue are the best days. Some days are not. Today is one of those days. Today we had to make the very tough decision so say goodbye to one of our residents Elsa. Elsa was an older girl who was dumped by people she thought loved her, she spent some time with the SPCA and when she was having trouble there they reached out to us and we happily took her to try and give her a chance. Sadly she never got the chance to find a new family. She developed some health issues and went down hill rapidly. After a visit to the ER Friday night, and looking much worse this morning we took her back to our vet and the decision was made to let her go gracefully, peacefully and with dignity. She was held and loved and snuggled right to end. RIP Elsa, run, play, chase the laser forever pain free. You will be missed and to us you mattered. Hug your furry family members today in honor of Elsa.

This is Molly. She is the best cat. Molly will be a year old in August of this year. Although Molly didn’t come to us with a litter of her own she accepted, loved and raised 7 different kittens that desperately needed a Momma. She is super friendly, affectionate, playful and snuggly. Molly is patiently waiting for a family to call her own, so she can shower them with all the love she has to give. Molly is at our center, located at 6580 Gowanda State Road in Hamburg. Meet Lyra. This gorgeous gal will be 6 years old in April. Lyra, like so many tortie’s, chooses when and with whom she receives loving. However, once she chooses that you are one of her people, she will crawl up on your shoulder and purr away while getting pets and scritches.
