3 pm – 4:30 pm Advanced Skills: For teams who have completed Foundations and Basic Skills. Sequences will include full height jumps, 6-12 weave poles, full height contacts with proficient exit behavior. This elective is geared toward dogs getting ready to run courses in the next few months.
4:30 pm – 6 pm: Drills & Coursework: Innovative short sequences challenging trial ready dogs with skills required of the successful trialing team (completed contacts and weave poles). In addition, training reliable start line behavior will be included. Dogs must be able to maintain a stationary position with distractions (including food/toy in handler’s hand).
7:30 pm – 8:30 pm Foundations: The first of an 8-12 week Foundations program that will help your dog learn basic concepts used in agility: recalls, lead changes, body awareness, learn how to learn, work through failure, work while very excited, engagement, toy use, play and more. Dogs must be capable of off leash work with minor distractions, and be mostly patient and mostly quiet while waiting their turn. Pre-requisite: successful completion of Essential Skills.
