Junior Nogueira is looking for three in a row.

After four straight years finishing as the Reserve World Champion from 2016-2019, he and partner Kaleb Driggers split up for 2020. They started roping together again in 2021, and the partnership immediately paid dividends.

They won the World Title that year and followed it up with another one in 2022, and a record-setting $340,708 apiece to boot.

This year, Nogueira enters as the second-ranked heeler, $12,000 behind Wesley Thorp. While his partner Driggers is No. 1. Should they repeat, they'd be the first team to win three in a row since 2004.

As many of the rodeos we are going to this time of year, most are county fairs, I am reminded of the value of family. Whether 4H horse shows, serving at the concession stand, or just watching the rodeo, I love seeing kids and parents being together.

Cubeit Hay Co. is a family business and a person will not find a better group of people to do business with. Last Saturday, we stopped in to stock back up on alfalfa cubes and JC was there working… and right beside him were his 2 daughters. The willingness to work hard isn’t necessarily a trait that we are born with, it’s a trait we learn. What a blessing for children when that trait is modeled to them by their parents.

I frequently get asked why I feed my horses hay cubes instead of baled hay when I'm at home and on the road.
