Let’s talk numbers!!
This post has been a longtime coming, people always say things like, “why are your prices so high?” “You charge too much”, “I can’t afford that”. Well here’s the truth, we don’t pocket what we charge, some weeks we don’t even pay ourselves. Here’s a glimpse of a monthly supply order for Lauren an I. That’s a total of over $1,000 a month just to make sure your pets have everything they need to have a proper groom. We charge what we do, because we HAVE to. As the price of goods rise, so do the prices of our services. To put it in perspective, we charge $120 for your doodle to be groomed, that is the equivalent of just 2 gallons of shampoo, which last us about a week if we’re lucky. When we charge $65 for your Shih Tzu to be groomed, that’s about the equivalent of a case of paper towels and trash bags. Please keep in mind, this is not even including all of our overhead like rent, tool maintenance, utilities, etc. Also, keeping in mind that just like you, we also have bills of our own to pay outside of our business. Essentially, we are paying double. I’m not here to complain, I’m just stating the facts. That’s what happens when you own a small business, that’s why it’s essential to support all of us. With this being said, there will be a significant price increase for all breeds effective starting in January, we just simply cannot afford not to. We love what we do, and we would hate for something to happen to us. We love an appreciate all of you. This is your reminder, to support your small businesses!
