TSW Championship #1 Contendership Match: The Natural Atlas Armstrong vs. El Diablo Vega
St. Joseph, Missouri – April 3, 2025 – The stage is set for one of the most anticipated matches in Missouri in 2025, as Atlas Armstrong takes on El Diablo in a #1 Contendership Match for the TSW Championship on April 11th, 2025, at the Time Out Event Center in St. Joseph, Missouri at Tri States Wrestling: Spring Break Brawl!!. The stakes are higher than ever, and both competitors are ready to put everything on the line for a chance at the coveted TSW Championship.
Atlas Armstrong is on a mission to prove that he is the rightful heir to the TSW throne. After a heartbreaking series of near-misses, Armstrong believes it’s time for a change in the TSW landscape. At St. Joseph Showdown in January, Armstrong delivered the final blow to Marco Hendri###, but it was The Iceman who capitalized and retained the TSW Championship. This, coupled with his intense performance in last August's Gauntlet Match in Mooresville where Armstrong defeated three consecutive opponents before falling short to a fresh Iceman, has ignited a fire in him. Armstrong is determined to claim the title that has eluded him for so long. He is vocal in his frustration over his perceived bias of the business, where he believes that the “good old boy” system and the hold of seasoned veterans like The Iceman have kept him from his rightful place at the top of TSW.
“For far too long, I've been overlooked,” says Armstrong. “I’ve taken down some of the best, but somehow, The Iceman keeps getting the opportunities. They talk about loyalty, they talk about tradition, but the truth is, I’ve outperformed every single person in this company. On April 11th, I’m going to show the world that Atlas Armstrong is the future of TSW!”
But standing in Armstrong’s way is the ever-dangerous El Diablo—a wrestler with a legacy that includes a legendary 880-day title reign in another company! Though El Diablo has achieved much in his career, he has struggled to maintain momentum in TSW. Despite this, El Diablo remains one of the dangerous wrestlers in the Midwest as all it takes in a kick and a Swanton and he always gets the 1-2-3!
If El Diablo can defeat Armstrong on April 11th, he will earn a title shot at Mayhem in Mooresville IV on August 23rd, 2025. El Diablo’s hunger for glory is unmatched, and he knows this may be his last chance to climb to the top of TSW.
“El Diablo is a dangerous man,” says TSW Senior Official Big Vito. “His history speaks for itself, and if he can put it all together on April 11th, he’ll have a shot at the title this summer. But standing across the ring from him is Atlas Armstrong, a man who believes he’s been wronged time and time again.
