We belive in the Weimaraner that has both correct conformation as well as a strong hunt drive. Blue male, DOB 2/11/24. He is exceptional!! Athletic, smart, good toy drive. Nice off switch. Still doesn’t know he’s a predator, so immature on birds- will try again in next few days. Handsome as hell. Good bone decent tail set. This is not greatest pic of his stack but he hot in position and just held it. Would love for him to go to a performance home.

On February 4, 2023, Millie welcomed her first and last litter. She was an amazing mother and raised some amazing puppies. Those puppies celebrated their first birthday on Sunday. I’m so proud of how these puppies are growing up and thankful for the wonderful families who have opened their homes and hearts. Not to mention the sacrifice of giving up every last nerve to these little monsters, Devil’s spawn, weimarapters, alligators, snuggle bunnies.

This is a rice bag. It’s made to help keep puppies warm when mama isn’t around or during travel. I’ve been using it as a cushion on my office foot rest. Millie keeps stealing it and carrying it all over the house. I think she thinks it’s her baby. As long as she doesn’t chew it open (rice everywhere), I guess she can have it. 🥰

I’m so happy to announce that both boys have gone to new homes! Blue collar, now Link, is in Cu***ng, Georgia with his new mom Michelle. Yellow collar, now Jasper, is now in Vacaville, CA with his great aunt Juno (a Roxie daughter) and four legged family of goats, cats another dog and plus his humans Chad, Steph, Caleb & Lauren!!

Since blue has left, yellow has had a little more freedom in the house. Millie keeps an eye on him and corrects him when he’s being bad. He’s now sleeping alone in his crate at night in the bedroom with me & Millie. The adjustment has gone well and he’s mostly sleeping through the night (other than to potty). Todays battle is who gets to sit in the chair in the office. Mama wins! Or did she?

Baby blue left early this morning for a long road trip to Georgia. I’m so excited for his new mama, they’re going to be a great match!!

Last night, Nana and I spent the evening snuggling and loving on him before he left.

I would say that TopGun and Jedi Knight training was a success! We’re currently having a thunderstorm and blue and yellow barely noticed. It’s been going on for about a half hour and so far this is the loudest one. BTW, that clickity clack is not rain, it’s me typing on my computer two rooms away. So, if you can hear THAT, the thunder is quite loud.

Yellow went to Nana & Papa’s today all by himself for some alone time. He’s been a good boy and is showing his manners by sitting and waiting patiently for his pats.

Meanwhile, blue has been home all afternoon in his play pen being a good boy.

PLEASE READ UPDATE: For anyone who has shy’d away from one of these puppies because you’re too far, please know that there are options:

1) Drive to pick up your puppy. Depending on distance, I or someone I know might be able to meet you half way for a small fee (in addition to the cost of the puppy).
2) Fly with a puppy as carry on baggage, although this is getting to be hard as they are getting to be too big for the under-seat soft kennel. Cost depending on airline and is between $100-$200 (in addition to the cost of the puppy)
3) There are people/companies that transport puppies all the time. Either all the way or part way with some driving on your part. Reasonable fee for ground transport $500-$600 (in addition to the cost of the puppy).
4) The responsible breeding community is vast. There are other breeders nearby who have owners coming and going and might be able to let one of mine hitch a ride to your neck of the woods.
5) As a very last resort, the puppy can be shipped via passenger air cargo. The total cost is approximately $500 including the airfare and kennel purchase (in addition to the cost of the puppy).

If you're interested in a puppy, I encourage you to review all the details on my website including the Puppy Contract & Expectations page and if still interested, complete an application. We'll then schedule a video interview and if we are a breeder/owner match, THEN we can work out transport details.

Please understand that I am a small breeder, I breed very rarely and I have a regular fulltime job so I can't spend several hours of a day working on transport if we don't already have a purchase agreement for the puppy. Thank you for your understanding.

Update: blue went to visit a neighbor who has parakeets loose in the house. One flew across the room and blue got VERY excited about that. So it appears that his drive is there, just a little slow to appear.

Part 3: after yellow was done, we grabbed blue and took them to a separate field with the bird. I was hoping that the added competition would build some drive. It did a little bit then… cow p**p. No puppy kisses tonight!

Part 1: Took Millie and the boys out to the Big Sky NAVHDA Chapter training day. Let Millie work some birds, (she’s still got it!) and let the puppies soak it all in. Then they were introduced to a dead pigeon first. Yellow was VERY EXCITED about this. He carried the bird all over the pen. Blue was less interested. Then we took them out to see how they would do with a flightless pigeon. Blue first. He was more interested in the cow p**p than the bird so after a few minutes we let him off the hook. No need to pressure the little guy! Here’s video of Blue.

So it appears that his drive is there, just a little slow to appear. Part 3: after yellow was done, we grabbed blue and took them to a separate field with the bird. Yellow: Working on leave it. Forgot to get video of blue but it went pretty much the same way.

Yellow boy: Today we started learning to heel on leash one at a time. This is also working on being separated from each other. *note, by the time I turned on the camera, we had already made a loop around the driveway so his 5 minute attention span was up. He was doing much better BEFORE I turned on the camera.

Since early on, he’s carried his toys proudly. If a toy ended up on the other side of the room, I knew who took it there. Now, on his first day of leash training, he’s picked it up neatly and carrying it around. What a good boy!

The stream is finally flowing! Puppies aren’t real sure if it but definitely not afraid of it!

Leading to play fetch! This was an interesting outing. Millie LOVES the ball. She is addicted to it. But to see her “share” was really nice. She’s such a good mama.
