What a cool dude! Casper is on the next phase of his rehabilitation journey. He did have a wing issue, but he made big progress in the short time we had him. I kept having to add more baskets 😂 They are hopeful with a little time he could once again fly free. Thank you @wild_skies_raptor_center for your help! We so appreciate the work you, Estelle and the rest of the warriors for wildlife do ❤️

Hard to beat these late summer days 🥰
We are finally starting to wind down a bit with most of our awesome lesson kids heading back to school, breeding season wrapped, training season winding down, leaving time for our handful of young horses who have been patiently waiting to get started under saddle. Irrigation is still on going, as are the 1001 projects we constantly juggling. Fun updates are coming on a number of them!
Thanks for your patience while we lifed pretty hard the last 2 years!

Part 6 and final video in this series😊
Listen to audio for details, might be worth throwing 20 small rounds in next time you haul that anxious pacer. Thanks for coming along for the ride!

Part 5: Sustainable Relaxation
We did nothing else for this anxious, active Stallion besides adding cheap, and easily obtainable enrichment to his enclosure. Results speak for themselves. Summary of why this works in my last video in the series, Part 7.

PART 4: Total relaxation 😌
Took this 12 hours after we used this awesome method to diffuse, divert, and deescalate our typically mild mannered stallion, Salamdor, while he recovers from an abscess. Turn on audio, and check out the other reels on my profile that show start to finish of this process. It's something every horse owner that may need to stall a horse should know.

PART 2: STALL HACK FOR ANXIOUS HORSES
Turn on audio for details and check out the rest of the reels in the series. This took 10 minutes to do for him, the results speak for themselves. First video is from around 8pm last night, Final video 9am this morning. I'll pop out and do a current video when I'm done uploading these. He's still a stallion in a stall, no hot wire, no external forces keeping him relaxed besides his footing.

If it's not one thing it's another!
Salamdor arrived back home to Montana this June, after a lovely staycation in Texas, with the incredible @taylor_anne_93
Taylor pulled in, 2 kids and husband in tow to save the day, November 2021, the week our son was born. Her and her family took care of our abundant critters and property while we made the harrowing journey 8 hours to Billings to see Corey off for his yearlong deployment to the Middle East. Let us not speak now of the horrors of doing that journey 8 days post partum, or the drive home running solo😅
It is a stinker that Salamdor has an abscess, of course, but the gratitude I have for Taylor to have him returned to us after a year and a half away with his typical kind manner, and easy going personality, is boundless! Thanks Tay! You rock!
This wonderful Akhal-teke Stallion is standing in Hamilton, Montana and currently accepting booking for live cover for the 2024 breeding season 🦄

Salamdor, one of our Akhal-teke Stallions, being treated for an abscess.
Salamdor arrived home to Montana this June after a lovely staycation with my good friend @taylor_anne_93 in Texas. Taylor arrived the week our son was born, 2021, took care of the ranch while we had to travel 8 hours to see Corey off for his year long deployment to the Middle East, with our newborn son in tow. Bless my inlaws for all their help. Let us not speak of the horrors of that long of a round trip 8 days post partum, or the drive home running solo 😅
