Huge congratulations to all these fantastic kids and school ponies for an amazing show. We took home 37 rosettes, including 2 champions and 2 reserve champions. They all rode with grit and determination, and had the best support team behind them! Go Team Skalkaho Riding School 🏆

Tea for horses? Yes, everyone deserves a cuppa when it’s this cold 🥶

I’m a rope halter girl. They are far more versatile in my opinion than nylon or web halters. They allow you to be more intentional and allow for more purposeful pressure and release, resulting in better understanding from your horse. You can achieve a lot on the ground using a rope halter, which can directly translate to success in the saddle. If used correctly, the knots are not harmful at all, in fact you need to yank and pull on your horse a lot less, hence being more purposeful and effective.
