Prayer Of A Stray Cat

Dear God:

Please send me somebody who will care! I'm tired of running. I'm sick with despair.

My body is aching - it's so racked with pain. And dear God I pray as I run in the rain - that someone will love me and give me a home. A warm cozy bed that I can call my own.

My last owner neglected me and chased me away to rummage in garbage and live as a stray. But now, God, I'm tired and hungry and cold. I'm afraid that I'll never get to grow old.

They've chased me with sticks and hit me with stones while I run in the streets just looking for bones! I'm not really bad, God, please help me if you can. For I have just become a "Victim of Man"!

I'm wormy, Dear God, and I am ridden with fleas! All that I want is an owner to please! If You find one for me, God, I'll try to be good. I won't run away and I'll do as I should.

I don't think I'll make it too long on my own - I'm getting so weak and I feel so all alone! Each night as I sleep in the bushes I cry - I'm so afraid, God, that I'm going die!

I've got so much love and devotion to give, that I should be given a new chance to live. So, dear God, PLEASE, PLEASE answer my prayer and send me somebody who WILL really care!

Cinnabon is as sweet as the confection that he’s named after. This is truly one of the sweetest, gentlest cats I have ever met. The whole time you are petting him, he’s making biscuits. This sweet guy had to leave his home, no fault of his own or the person that was taking care of him; it couldn’t be helped. But he is homesick, and we know he would do wonderfully in a new home. Who has thousands of homes in mind where these kittens can go? No one. There is nowhere for them to go! Shelters and rescues are overwhelmed. Euthanasia is happening to healthy animals all the time. We all can help with spay and neuter!

Pulled from a shelter in June of this year where his outcome was not good, “Teddy,Jr.” came to us at 5-6 weeks old with eyelid deformity, called eyelid Agenesis. With this deformity, He was missing part of his upper eyelids and his eyelashes were sweeping across his eyes every time he to blinked.

He would need surgery to correct the deformity, but was way too young and tiny. Cats already, have small eyelids, so time and keeping his eyes lubricated was the key to him growing and getting to a point that surgery could be performed.

Teddy is proud to say that he had his surgery a few days ago and doing great.

For some they are simple intake and then placed in homes, but others come in and require care for weeks to months before they can be placed.

Rescue is so much more than intake and adopting out.

Teddy Jr is one of the sweetest, kittens ever. So many suffer and die in shelters and as strays unnecessarily. We can’t stress enough how important SPAY/NEUTER.
That is the solution to the overwhelming numbers of animals.
