Dog Gone Right, LLC is the 1st and only Force-Free, Positive Dog Day Care and Dog Training facility on the northshore, owned and run by a professional dog trainer. We offer Dog Day Care, Day Training & Group classes for puppies, adolescents and adult dogs of all breeds. With continuing education in dog training and behavior, having group puppy and manners classes, private lessons I strive to help

any dog/owner team willing to work for a better life together. I also foster dogs with behavior issues, generally under-socialized dog, from St. Francis Animal Sanctuary and other rescue groups. These dogs become part of our family and learn how to live in a home prior to being adopted. At any given time I generally have up to 3 foster dogs in addition to our 3 permanent dogs. PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS! The only facility on the North Shore that will be run by an experienced Dog Trainer using Force Free methods.

It was fabulous to watch one of my very supportive clients do such a wonderful job this weekend.

Kurt Hamlen & is beautiful Vizsla, Kool did an AWESOME job in their first NW1 Trial. Not only did they pass, they passed in style earning 2nd in Container & Interior, 4th in Exterior, and 1st in the Vehicle search.

That wasn't enough for those 2 . . . they went on to win 1st overall, as well as Pronounced. Pronounced is given to handler/dog teams demonstrating exceptional technique and/or
teamwork at each NW1, NW2, NW3, Elite, and Summit League trial. This is not part of the title, but rather an acknowledgement of exceptional teamwork on that particular trial day.

Total time for all 4 searches was 1:17.13!

The most popular breed in today's NACSW NW2 Trial was the Irish Setter! It was nice meeting John with Kearney for the first time. One of my NACSW classmates Marcia Ladendorff with Maeve and of course myself with Darby! Love those Red Dogs!

Darby & I got to play Nose Work today. Thanks to Paula Nowak with Canine Country Academy for putting on the wonderful trial today & I'm sure tomorrow! Also thanks to Nancy Osborne, for the very challenging hides, Sue McKinney and Trace Sargent for being such friendly judges! It was a wonderful day! We also got to catch up with some friends and made a new one meeting John with his Irish Setter, Kearney. I think that the most popular breed in today's trial was the Irish Setter. There were 3 of us with one. A very rare occurrence.

We didn't leave with a ribbon, but we did leave happy and after a day of fun for both of us! That is so much more important for me! Plus, I get to continue doing this again with my special boy. He did great and again passed the searches that he doesn't enjoy doing which is so special to me. He was one of only 11 dogs to pass the container search! I'm very proud of that. And he passed the exterior search with part of it containing grass and a nice large Azalea that caught his eye.

Trouble was with the vehicle search which had a strong breeze pushing the odor to the 3rd vehicle which was on a downward slope. We learned to start practicing doing more timed searches both for him and my students so both the dogs and humans get the experience of having a timer going off.

The best part of the day was Darby enjoyed it and got a lot of rewards all the way back to the parking lot . . . which was generally a long walk.
