Bodhi mastering Focus with distractions. Instead of continuing his habit of barking when someone is at the door or when fearful of something in his world, we are building confidence and centering his attention with the Focus command. He is a quick study and very eager to learn!
Quincy needs a YouTube channel for trying out new toys. He is always up for a good time and loves showing everyone how the new toys work! This week- Bubble Machine! They are bacon flavored bubbles for dogs ❤️
Pups resting up for the weekend!
The pups are resting up for the weekend!!
What a great day to end with before I take next week off! The pups had so much fun and needed a little nap in the AC! Make sure to keep your pups safe and comfortable from the high temps ❤️
Happy Summer!!!! After playing outside all day, the pups needed a nappy!!
Everyday after a few hours of play, the babies come inside and we rest for a bit. We put on some relaxing tunes and take a little nappy. This was yesterdays nap! You will always see Harvey on the counter ❤️
Nap time for the tired babies! There’s more beds to lay on but they prefer the floor
Holding a phone while trying to demonstrate our new device to assist in nail filing was hard but I hope you see how it works! Lots of dogs are sensitive to having their nails clips- this provides a stress free way of filing them. Clara was an excellent demo dog- her mother could use some more practice! The idea is to fill the opening with tasty treats while they scratch to try to open it up. She had a lot of fun with this and her nails are looking great! Hope this helps anyone with pups that have an aversion to their nails being clipped!
My good friend Finley is absolutely the cutest and most loving hound lady ever. She is also very smart and motivated. We have been working on keeping her focus on mom and dad while distractions are happening and she is doing so well!!!
I wanted to share a highlight from this mornings training session with Ron and Willie (I know- I love the names!) We are working on impulse control and learning to wait. This is an exceptionally difficult “wait” because this is the door the boys use to go out to play during puppy play groups! As you can see, they hold their wait until they are released. Good job boys and an AMAZING job to their mom for training with two pups 😍😍
My very good friend Odin works so hard everyday. His mom and dad have continued to add distance, duration and BIG distractions (deer venison in front of his nose!) while in his down-stays. He watches and at times wants to get up but exhibits impulse control and waits the entire time until mom calls him! Keep up the good work!!
