There’s nothing better than double poodle Friday!!! Miss Bailey was my very first client ever and her mom recently rescued her new brother, Buckey! We did a small refresher on jumping with Bailey and worked on “down” with Buckey! He is a little nervous with new people around but with patience and tons of reinforcement, he successfully got in the down position! Good job mom and pups!!!
Meet Khloe! She is a 10 month old Setter full of s***k, love and intelligence! Her family already had a great training foundation and a nice schedule for her but wanted to work on recall with Khloe! It was such a pleasure to have the whole family participate and be so involved! Khloe caught on VERY quick and I have no doubt she will

I promised myself I have reached my limit with the number of doggies I have but this precious boy almost makes me change my mind 😂 Everyone meet Max! He is the perfect mixture of sweet, playful, and intelligent . However, let’s not forget to mention his flawless face! He is SOO lucky to have such a loving and dedicated family!
Attention all GSD lovers! These babies are the whole package: looks, brains and determination! Their parents have worked on boundaries and impulse control from the start and baby Nova was so eager to catch on to all we covered! Nala is such a great role model and they have such a wonderful life ahead of them!!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since we have made a post but I needed to share about two puppies that recently graduated the S.T.A.R. Puppy class! Maya and Ollie were so focused and LOVED learning new things each class. Their moms were incredibly dedicated to the training and we are planning to continue their training in the near future! I’m so proud of these two and look forward to continue working with their families ❤️❤️
What a nice chilly morning for a puppy class! Maya and Ollie started S.T.A.R. Puppy last week and are thoroughly impressing me! We have a small class for safety reasons with this new illness in Maine and because I love being able to give more attention to the pups and their moms during class! So glad and grateful to be training pups again!
My niece Emma has been a huge part of our puppy socialization groups during this first year. With the permission of the puppies parents, we would have Emma meet the puppies and they would have such a positive experience with a sweet, dog savvy child.
We want to recognize Emma and also bring awareness to the disease she is living with- Type 1 Diabetes. November is Diabetes Awareness month and we wanted to post a picture with her new shirt and her closest puppy friend- Odin. These two have a very special bond and he reads her so well. We love you Emma AND Odin!!
This gentle giant just passed his Canine Good Citizen exam with flying colors. His name is Flint and he is the sweetest and most loyal companion to his daddy. We will be continuing his training and working towards his therapy certification. Congratulations Flint!
My sweet little Aggie has been such a huge part of Dogs on Center since February when her parents rescued her. Her loving disposition and kissable face makes her a favorite to all that meet her. Her mom and dad have been working extremely hard with her training and it paid off! We tested a while ago and she passed with flying colors but never posted it because I got sick right after! Congratulations little girl and can’t wait for our future adventures!
I started training with Ron, Willie and their mom and dad about 8 months ago. To say they were dedicated is a total understatement!!! Ron and Willie have been part of our play groups since March and have blossomed into incredible dogs! Ron was a bit nervous at first and would seek out humans for reassurance. Willie was a party animal and loved being part of the pack. The boys are so grown up and truly have some of the best impulse control I have seen in adolescent labs. When they arrive at play groups, they must wait in their vehicle until Mom releases them to greet me. As a result of all their hard work, the boys passed their Canine Good Citizen exam last weekend. I’m so happy for the pups and their family and can’t wait to see where we go from here ❤️❤️
I wanted to make a separate post of Odin and Maverick’s time growing up. I remember the days where we would have two hour play groups and need to carry Maverick home like an infant 😂😂 love you boys ❤️❤️
Today is such a super special day here at Dogs on Center! Today we celebrated TWO birthdays who happen to be best friends and have grown up together since they were little baby puppies!! Maverick and Odin are two of the original five puppies that started the play groups here. To say writing this is a little hard is an understatement. They love each other so much and love getting into all sorts of mischief together 😂 They have grown to be such handsome and wonderful babies for their families. Happy birthday to two of the bestest boys
This has been a post I have been dreading to make for a couple weeks now because all the dogs I care for I love like my own. However, in light of recent health problems and other personal issues, I will be closing play groups on December 1 and concentrating on my greatest passion- dog training. I so so appreciate all the families that have supported me and helped me gain confidence in myself and my business.

Everyone says “hi” to Razz again! This guy amazes me
and our sessions are always so positive and fun! Razz has mastered so many commands in a short period of time. We have been working on “cot” which has now become one of his favorite places to be. Our next adventure is a trip to Lowe’s for some positive socialization. Just a reminder, when exploring new places with your pup- read their body language and listen to them. If you can tell they are nervous and scared of a new place, don’t force them to “push through it.” In this stage of development, we want their experiences to be positive and enjoy their outings! I love my training clients and how much they care for their dogs! Today Bella, her parents and I spent some time getting her comfortable with water because she spends lots of time at their camp ❤️ by the end of her session, she was swimming and very comfortable in the water! Make her comfortable! We used a 25 foot long line for safety and her favorite toys- tennis balls! We made sure not to push her and have her take the steps at her own pace! She did awesome ❤️❤️

Everyday after a few hours of play, the babies come inside and we rest for a bit. We put on some relaxing tunes and take a little nappy. This was yesterdays nap! You will always see Harvey on the counter ❤️

Holding a phone while trying to demonstrate our new device to assist in nail filing was hard but I hope you see how it works! Lots of dogs are sensitive to having their nails clips- this provides a stress free way of filing them. Clara was an excellent demo dog- her mother could use some more practice! The idea is to fill the opening with tasty treats while they scratch to try to open it up. She had a lot of fun with this and her nails are looking great! Hope this helps anyone with pups that have an aversion to their nails being clipped!
My good friend Finley is absolutely the cutest and most loving hound lady ever. She is also very smart and motivated. We have been working on keeping her focus on mom and dad while distractions are happening and she is doing so well!!!
I wanted to share a highlight from this mornings training session with Ron and Willie (I know- I love the names!) We are working on impulse control and learning to wait. This is an exceptionally difficult “wait” because this is the door the boys use to go out to play during puppy play groups! As you can see, they hold their wait until they are released. Good job boys and an AMAZING job to their mom for training with two pups 😍😍
My very good friend Odin works so hard everyday. His mom and dad have continued to add distance, duration and BIG distractions (deer venison in front of his nose!) while in his down-stays. He watches and at times wants to get up but exhibits impulse control and waits the entire time until mom calls him! Keep up the good work!!
One of my favorite things is watching a puppy problem solve and figure things out on their own. Odin tried out a new enrichment toy today and quickly figured out how to get the treats! These type of enrichment activities are a great way to mentally stimulate your pup which will come in handy now that the cold weather has arrived!
Odie (formerly known as Odin 😂) went on a new adventure today to Lowe’s! He was very confident and loved meeting all sorts of new people which made the new experience so positive for him. Odie can’t wait to discover more of this world he lives in! **It’s imperative for all new experiences to be positive for young puppies! If your pup is scared at a new place, don’t force them to go!

Luna and Freyja’s parents have been so dedicated to their pups training and it showed today! Despite the annoying singing and dancing chicken in full throttle and the pups being off leash, they were able to “Leave it” and be completely focused on mom! Great job!
Bailey did so awesome with the YoYo Recall Game! We had to give her a shout out today because she looked so cute in her dress and bow ❤️
Freyja was strutting her stuff during loose leash walking! There were other dogs barking, cars driving by and she was still focused on dad. We are so proud of her!
